Was reading Martins OS book last night but can't remember the other things he suggested though there was something about toilet paper soaked in vinegar so that the vinegar stays where it was put? Maybe this is for limescale?0

Tie up the float arm in the cistern and flush the bowl to drain it. Then place tissues soaked in white vinegar (the natural enemy of limescale) directly on the streak. The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.0

Think I'll give this a go at the weekend, by then I might feel well enough to put my hand down the toilet without throwing up...0

Harpic power limescale remover is 99p at Wilkinsons. I only had to use it twice and it removed the black build up below the water line.
All I did was coat the bowl two nights on the trot (no pun intended) before going to bed and by the second day the black limescale had disappeared.
No work involved.;)more dollar$ than sense0 -
Well I have just stuck kitchen roll soaked in white vinegar on the streak, so will report back later to how well it has worked!0
