I've totally lost track on my spending this month, really not sure why, could have been half term?! I know I've gone way over. I've not got my budget head on at all. I've got lots on atm so I'm going to bow out of the challenge for the time being. Wishing everyone luck for the future months :beer:0

Needed to go shopping at lunchtime for some essentials and ended up spending almost £50 in Mr A's! Did get a week's worth of catfood and wine for the weekend. Bought a big bag of baking spuds for £1 but when I got home, they looked a bit manky in places. Made 2kg of mash to freeze from it. Should not need to go shopping now for a week, I'm hoping not until next Wednesday especially as we're away Sun/Mon nights. Still over my ideal £60 a week budget but have definitely spent less this month than we did before I joined up I'm sure0

Declaring at €282.41 for October....only €97.59 over budget, so much for all my bragging about being way under in September....will be more modest in future!
Have also just discovered that Aldi seem to have taken the same amount of my laser card twice last time I was there, will follow up tomorrow.

Well I am not exactly sure of my spends. Kept forgetting to update etc. Time just beats me all the time!. But I think that I was within my £160.
I didnt do much shopping, only the little top ups etc. So even if I spent £20 in a week, I would be in limit.
I think that I will still have a target of
£160 for november as well please! When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
I've done final sums and reckon we were £46 over budget - £496 against a budget of £450. Even so, I'm not too down-hearted as this was the first month and there were plenty of things in there that I've learnt. So - on to November!0

Don't see it as a failure, it's all part of the learning curve.
Do you know why you went so over budget? We spent well over our £60 a wk target for October but realised it's because we bought more alcohol than we thought we would and bought quite a few treats (takeaways, choc, crisps) outside of our big shops that normally went unnoticed before I started the challenge.
Keep perservering xxx0 -
Finally totted up for October, and came in just under budget at £143.82 from a £150 target. Bit of a complicated month so that's a success!0
