  • Checked bank account this morning, but unfortunately no one has secretly deposited a few unwanted thousand ££sss :(:rotfl:, ah well...but on the plus side, it's not got any worse ;), well in fact it got slightly better as I hunted out all the loose change in the house on the weekend and deposited £4.48 via the change machine :D. I love the change machine :D.

Checked target CC balance this morning as it's statement day, but looks like it won't update til tomorrow. I'll change my signature as soon as I have the new figures.

I've finally launched myself into my online tax return tonight, after procrastinating about it for months :o. Bit stupid of me really as it looks quite straight forward and the likelihood is that I'll be due a rebate :).

  • It's slow going here at BC Towers just waiting for payday to arrive. I was able to make a small positive adjustment to the expected month end balance yesterday as one of the mobile phone bills is £21.67 instead of the £31 I'd predicted :). That gives us a little cushion if things go wrong or something is needed before payday.

    Thanks Bonnington :)

I'm feeling relieved this morning that we will have made it to payday (pay due on Tuesday) without exceeding the overdraft (I hope, I haven't actually logged on to the bank this morning :o), but when I checked yesterday all was ok). DD2s pay will go into my account on Monday, so gives us a buffer until Tuesday...phew!

Like many people it's been a really long month, and the last week especially has been long!

I've already set the budget for February, but need to review and adjust it as we have two outings planned for the middle of the month and I'll need to allow for petrol and some spending money. This is the kind of thing I would've ignored in the past, assuming the money would come out of the magic pot which obviously is filled by the money tree at the bottom of the garden :rotfl:. But not this time, it will be in the budget ;).

The car needs to be taxed on Tuesday, but I've got most of the money for this, but I need to allow for the difference in the budget. Also need to allow for a £30 overspend on DS's mobile . He's been told that if it happens again, he'll have his phone taken away from him.
