Afternoon,
That's it! I am finally giving up on making bread by hand and have asked for a bread machine for my birthday! I miscalculated the amount of water I needed and ended up with a suspicious looking dough..... turned it out on the floured work top for 5 minutes....... To cut a rather long story short, I have spent most of the afternoon picking up bits of dough that I have missed from the floor, cupboard doors and work tops after the dough gradually slid all down the front of the work top onto the floor!
It gets better.... I thought my crockpot of soup was taking a long time so went back to check on it, following a couple of hours of much needed sleep, just to realise that I hadn't turned the power on at the wall!!
Who said OS could be easy?! If I had a brain, I could be seriously dangerous. At least I have managed to get a couple of loads of washing done.

Carboot ended up a wash out - we stopped for as long as we could put up with the rain and managed to make £30:T typically it brightened up later and has been lovely since we got home:cool:
In the end we donated the leftovers to Forces Support - which gives practical aid to families of those injured/killed in the army.
Dinner is cooking - am rather peckish now!

Bonsoir!
Here in Bordeaux, just had a very nice meal at the Campanile restaurant, staying in the cheaper Premiere Classe, which also gives you 15% each off the Campanile restaurant. They are in the Pessac area of Bordeaux, and I cannot recommend the helpfulness of the staff at both enough. They will like this questionnaire to be sure
Beth Glad you have a diagnosis, and I certainly think the Honey if worth a try. I know a couple of friends who take a spoonful daily and have not had to use medicines for the tummies for a good while.
Lou nice to see you posting yesterday, glad DH is healing well.
Master Bitsy :bdaycake: and a ((hug)) for Mum too.
Just a warning to those losing their babies to Uni - they may have left the nest for good. DS never returned to live at home, ended up with work away, and a girl friend from away too.
Well we got the floor almost sanded for DS & GF, and took our leave at 6pm yesterday, drove from Crouch End, though the London districts towards the Blackwall Tunnel. Far more interesting than the M25 to be sure. First of all we hit the jewish area, and as it was their Sunday IYKWIM they were walking about in their Sunday best we far more different male headgear than I was aware they had. Then we must have hit a West Indian area, as the was a large party with the big colourful ladies hats. Next was a really traditional named pub, but it had like a covered veranda at the front to the pavement, and a group of elderly coloured gentlemen were sat there talking to people on the street. The pub was offering meals and Saturday it was Pork or Fish Jerky. Please don't misunderstand me, I was fascinated by all this, we certainly do not see it around us, and probably the local Londoners take it in their stride but I thoroughly enjoyed the journey.
We should reach the house late evening tomorrow, going through the Pyrenees with the Somport Tunnel, Jaca, Huesca, Zaragossa, Teruel, Valencia, Alicante, then we will be there.
Take care all. DGMember #8 of the SKI-ers Club
Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?0
