I should be compensated for the glazing companys inability to carry out the the work agreed at the time agreed. I should be compensated for my window being left open for a night.
No ?0 -
no.
as mckneff said earlier:As this was to compensate us for the inconvenience
Did some one tell you this or did you just decide it yourself.
Why do you think you are entitled to compensation, someone broke the window, the window has been mended, you arent out of pocket.
I really dont see what having a baby in the house has got to do with anything really.
If you didnt feel secure, you could have just hammered some more nails into it.
The price, whether full or discount has absolutely nothing to do with you really
easy.

How large was the window smashed? I'm just curious at to what you did in the end as it's not ideal to have no window, especially if it was to rain...
With regards to compensation... omg! Anybody would think you've been a serious victim of crime or something!! Get over it, it happened and was sorted without cost to yourself!0 -
OP, despite the tone of the people who have replied so far, the situation is this
You can claim compensation for something that HAS happened, not something that MIGHT HAVE happened. Your window was open for a night, and nothing happened. Therefore there is no claim. Please, drop it for your sanity, and that of your family.
And enjoy making a new life together in your new homeOne important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.0 -
it would appear you are entitled to some compensation but it will not be much.
If it was a cold day, and the heat was going out the door, then how much monies worth of heat did you pay extra for?
Did anyone become ill? remember you should have more then 1 door, and you should have a heating source. 1 door on the room also.
or did anyone get hurt from the glass or stone and see a doc?
as for the money that was going to be paid back to you because there was no call out, that would get left off the bill so the councill would have less to pay. You dont get that.0
