The later incarnation of the Premier Direct which does not come with insurance but instead came with 5 or 6% interest. I know this categorically because I sold them myself from April to July 2010 before it went offsale.

The Premier Direct TRAVEL also pops up and this DOES come with travel insurance - however this will only be OLDER accounts opened before around 2007. However on correspondence it may be referred to as simply a "Premier Direct".

As I say, the only way to check is to call Aegeis with your account number and they will tell you if you have a Premier Direct with the insurance or not.

I have now found the only place where it tells you if you have a Premier Direct Travel account, it is not mentioned anywhere else not even on statements. In on line banking go to "my accounts" and on the "banking and savings" bar there is a link " add, remove or rename an account", click and under product type it states the type of account, mine says premier direct travel.
