Thanks all - since you all said it worked with the Pin570 I went back to the store - all gone - so I went to the other Milton Keyens store - and they had a few (at least 3 left - back of the shop clearance section).

Still six or so in Stafford. Plenty of the mounts / chargers / case too. The home charger is mini USB so ought to fit other things fine. And if you 'do' electronics, £1 for a 5v switch mode power supply is pretty good!!!

BTW the antenna connector is MMCX, not MCX, the two are a different size. Fits my pretec CF card GPS, but not my Navman bluetooth. Guess which one I really wanted it for!

The ones at £29.99 are the official navman ones, you want the navsure ones like in the pic.

Returned to Halfords Freeman's Common in Leicester this afternoon to check, but the qty. 3 on the shelf had gone:-( Had a good search through the bargain shelf items elsewhere in the store, but there were no antennas remaining in that store. I *think* that the three that I saw on the shelf were the Navsure ones, but I am not 100% certain now.

However, I picked up a couple of the Navsure antennas for GBP1.00 each in the Halfords on Abbey Lane in Leicester:-)

    But the bad news is:-

The Navsure antenna connector looks fairly *similar* to the old Garmin antenna that I use with my Garmin 12XL GPS, but is by no means identical. Navsure antenna connector does not want to mate with my 12XL, my Garmin i3 SatNav nor with my TomTom One (original).

    Eh up me duck.
  • There are still several (5+) available in the York store (Foss Islands Road). The staff suggested I buy them all and sell them on ebay!

The power supply, mini usb, will fit Tom Tom One V2, Navman F20, N40i, N60i, Garmin Nuvi 300, 310, 350, 360 and many others that use the mini usb connection. Worth a punt for a quid.

I've plundered my local Halfords for a couple of external ariels plus leads, the Navman 570 doesn't like heated front screens. Is the ariel lead resiliant? Will the lead be damaged if I run it between the car door and seal?

Hi went to the coventry Halfords with a friend on Monday and the antenna was priced at £19.00 but when the lady scanned it in it was £1.00

When to the Halfords in Guildford and they had a bin load of antenna's about 20 ish at a £1 each and Navman usb main power supplies and mounting brackets and cases all a £1. that was at 5pm today so get down there if you want a cheap antenna which seems to fit all types of GPS including blue tooth ones

Same situation. Went to the Dewsbury branch and they had a few left, all MMCX ones. I'm after the MCX antenna for my Navman 4400 BT :(
Let me know if you find any

I found pressing the external ariel against the inside of the windscreen worked a treat on the wifes car, which has a heat reflective windscreen.
You can hold the ariel in place with a spot of two of bath sealant :)
Not everything that's cheap is a bargain
