    Hello :j

Thanks for starting the thread DNMS, and good luck with your house move. We moved this year, and I am never doing it again  Mind you, we did the house up as well, so that made it worse than it would have been (oooh the mess!:eek::eek:) All lovely now though, so totally worth it :D

Hope you feel better soon Candy, Perni and Ziggy :)

Mandragora (sp?) your list exhausted me just reading it - I have done very little today :o I am always shattered on Saturdays. I remember having all that energy though!

    Today:

Not NSD as I went to the super toy shop in our little town, and to one of the CS, and stocked up the toy box with new crayons, play dough, jigsaws etc for little visitors so they don't get bored. All budgeted for though. :)

Also to Ald!s for the weekly shop; took my shopping trolley and walked instead of using car :D

    Paid car tax thingy online

Made a batch of tomato sauce from the tomato mountain and froze it.

Picked more tomatoes, courgettes and runner beans

    HM meals.

OH did the hoovering before he disappeared off to a farm sale. He came back with some metal to make something or other for the garage.

Off to sort out the washing up and make some coffee now :)
  • Bit late with the social thing but I have been busy doing things (& watching the last 2 episodes of series 8 of 24 :o), fortunately half a can of relentless combined with painkillers & a nice relaxing trip to the hairdressers has sorted me right out!

DNMS - It does seem a bit quiet around here lately, we're missing a few regulars! Hope they are ok whatever they may be up to :) Hope you enjoyed the charity do this evening
La Escocesa - A wise choice me thinks! Plus when you do go out it will be very special
Ziggy - Thank you! Enjoy your trip to the coast
Mandragora - Happy birthday for last week, enjoy your night out
Candy - Hope you feel better soon!
Dawn - Thank you! Hope your car tax hasn't gone up like mine has, only a fiver more but still, it's a fiver I'd rather go to my debt!
    :idea:Debt at July 2012: £12,862.57

  • Hi everyone

Oh perni - I can't remember how many days I've spent sitting on the sofa doing nothing but watch 24! :o So good though! :p
    • Today I need to go through banking and check everything I spent yesterday - switched all day because I never managed to find a cashpoint  so I think there was petrol (£17), new blind (£20), tea lights (£2), @sda (£38)...thinking there is something else I am missing...
    • Need to seriously think about October's budget - got a night out (£20ish), a wedding (£50ish), our wedding anniversary(?? depends what we do)
    • Sort lunches for work - major expense for OH - if he doesn't have brekkie at home and doesn't take lunch he spends about £7 a day
    • Get clothes ready for the working week - save some time in the mornings...
    • Look at prebooking train tickets I need for October and November - think I'll save £20 in all.
    • More knitting - this beret I'm knitting is getting pretty tedious... I might knit more though - cheap but perfect Chrissie pressie for SIL
    Sunday love y'all
  • Morning all!

Hello everyone, hope you are all having a nice relaxing Sunday?
Today i have washed the car, inside and out, instead of taking it to a valet service, so saved myself some money there.
Also was supposed to take the kids swimming today, but my youngest has a cold today so staying at home instead.

My oldest is going on a 3 day residential trip with school tomorrow, so am getting all the washing done today so that we are all orgainised for tomorrow morning.

    Have a nice day everyone!
  • Hello All
Newbie here - still feel sick at the mess I have let us slide into but at least I'm doing something about it.
Yesterday was another NSD for me - really good/unusual because normally I would have gone out in the car to the nearest supermarket (20+mile round trip) bought a paper and a few bits etc - so would have been at least a £15-£20. Today is also going to be a NSD so I reckon if I can keep this up I'll be well on the way to making a big hole in our ODraft by the next pay day (25th-Gulp)
Made Pizza last night and instead of chcucking away spare dough have made Naan/Flat breads so can eat tonight and squirrel some away in Freezer.

    Hi bowlofsoup.

"normally I would have gone out in the car to the nearest supermarket (20+mile round trip) bought a paper and a few bits etc"- you have just described what i tend to do! i LOVE driving and instead of popping 2 mins around the corner to the local Tesco to get a few bits and bobs, i tend to drive about 10 miles away!
My excuse was always "but Tesco is more expensive!"..umm, i used more than i would save in petrol!!
