How the hell do !!!!-a-roaches get stuck in a laptop? Where do they crawl in to? The vents are not big enough. This is a wind up post.0

I reckon Currys should counter-sue for £40000 for your biological warfare attack.0

Hi mklondon2010, Can I ask in what condition did your laptop look on the outside when you sent in away for repair, was it very dirty looking ? I suspect it was,and they are exaggerating about the coakroaches. Maybe none of their Engineers actually want to touch your laptop in case they catch something !0

You need to have a halfway decent chance of winning such a sum for anybody to take you on a conditional fee arrangement.
You also need to be aware that if you do lose there is a good chance that you will have your opponents costs to pay. I somehow doubt you will find an insurance company willing to set up an "after the event insurance" policy for you as they also tend to require some small chance of winning.

My laptop was collected from home for repair on 07/Aug/11. After waiting for 2 weeks i been to Currys store and asked about my laptop. Instore person called customer care and confirmed that i will get my laptop on 29/Aug/11. i called customer care directly on 29/Aug/11 and asked about delivery. he told me that laptop is infested with cockroaches and therefore can not be repaired and will be returned to me in 1 week.
I have not received my laptop till date. Whenever I call customer service they give me one date. But I neither got the laptop on that date nor any call. Sometimes they say repair team is not able to find the laptop. sometimes they say delivery team is investigating the matter.
The custmore care person keeps saying 'from the note i can see you will get the laptop tomorrow'. but i never got the laptop on said date.
Its almost 2 months now but I have not got my laptop.
I found that custmore care manager was lying and giving wrong and fale information. They told me there is no way to esacalte this matter and they are not sure when I will get my laptop.

£20,000 ????
For what exactly ?
How on earth do you believe the alleged poor service is worth £20,000 to you ?
It does appear you have had less than adequate service but suing them for £20K, honestly. Some people."There's no such thing as Macra. Macra do not exist."

*** cockroaches are not the real cause of laptop not working *****
it's HP laptop with AMD processor. it's about 1 year old and was under warranty until 10/Sep/11.
After switching ON laptop was getting over-heated in few minutes and i think because of that it finally stopped working ...
As laptop was still under warrenty i asked currys to repair it.. and the pain started..
knowhow is saying they can not repair it becuase its infested with insects...
*** the root cause of laptop not working is not known yet *****
if i had got my laptop on time from currys, i could have got it cleaned from professional services and returned it them to repair and find the real cause of fault..
Finally i have got the laptop today (24/Sep) ..after 7-8 weeks.. unrepaired ..and laptop warranty already expired on 10/Sep/11
why do i need to spend rapair cost from my pocket? if currys/knowhow had done their job properly i would have got it repaied as part of warrantly!!!
i have spent lot of amount in phone calls..
dont you think i should teach some lesson to currys ? dont you think i should get some compensation/damages ? atleast £1000 ? or replacement ?
what is small claims and how do start the process ?0
