Once they have set the account up you can pull your first DD payment in from the ICESAVE website, from your nominated account.

If they're anything like other banks, they'll send you a copy of the DD mandate and wait 7 days or so (they also have to send the DD mandate to your bank - the 7 days-ish allows you to cancel).

I've just transferred £60K to icesave. This is too good a deal to turn down - this equates to approx £50 per month extra for me than my ING account.

I hope they are ok to bank with ???!!!

Are you not worried about putting more than £35,000 into one savings account, (in case the bank goes bust???) ?

I dont want to put anymore than this into my ICESave account, - i've got the rest in an ING account, as they are the only two accounts i've got at the moment unfortunately, - & I dare not put all my money into ICESave in case the worse case scenario happens???

I'd like to open up another savings account, but i've just moved property and my addresses are all over the place, so its difficult getitng a new account set up right now!

This information has now been confirmed on the IceSave web site here.

I assume it will not be displayed on the 'front page', as it were, until the 19th itself.

So it's 5.7% on people getting their interest paid annually, - what about the people getting interest paid monthly?

I cant ever see that happening to be honest which is why I would put it all in the one account rather than split it across two. Even if you dont want to go above the limit there are better accounts than ING to keep the remainder in.

I guess it's unlikely KTF, but £25,000 is a lot of money to lose!

Yeah, I know about the other accounts, I should have an Abbey eSaver opening up any day now.

They said they would announce it today. So I guess you'll get an email later on and the website will be updated.

Ironically, it will be the higher rate by the time I get access. I'm still not able to Login, even with the new password they gave me. Had a good read on the help section and it seems it may be something to do with my browser but never had this trouble with any other Internet bank.
