If A&L dont respond I might consider shifting all my savings over to them when the first rolls round...

I'll be following you worryingly (for you!) closely!

I rang A&L and they 'couldn't comment'. Don't sound too good. Mindyou, will be another week until my transaction from a week ago is available for me to withdraw  :D

Good for them (and us!) :T

I should imagine ING's bosses are starting to feel somewhat uncomfortable right now :rotfl:

have patiently waited forr ING to raise their game, but it dont seem to be happening, so it looks like i will be jumping ship.

i have a £9k lump sum to invest, top up each month with £250-£500 depending on how flush ive been. will be withdrawing £3k in april to fill my new isa allowance i if this makes any difference

I bank with ICICI and Icesave, and they've been fine for me. I put money in, and I take money out.

The key difference is ICICI pays interest into itself (auto-compounds) and IceSave can be set up to pay into your nominated account, providing an income.

I've just transferred £60K to icesave. This is too good a deal to turn down - this equates to approx £50 per month extra for me than my ING account.

I hope they are ok to bank with ???!!!

This is very good news. I know where my money from A&L Direct Saver goes if they are not making a move- ICESAVE.

I have closed my ICICI account after having some problems with them and still to receive my closing balance from them roughly £1 and a few pence.

I presume you mean provided if they dont react to future increases. Otherwise you will lose more on the transfer than you wil gain on the differential.

I have been having problems with Login but at least one of their staff 'phoned me tonight and it will be sorted by morning but, I tried to transfer some money electronically but the account number is too long. Did you transfer your £50k by BACS or did it go through easily because it was from your linked account?.

Your not meant to do any transfers by BACS other than the first deposit.
