I think I just cancelled my Orange contract, when I was only trying to do a deal with them.
Do mobile phone places not do deals any more?
I want an Nokia N8 for around £20 a month. I can get it for around that from Carphone warehouse and Vodaphone but Orange said the best they could do would be £27.
I said in that case I will probably cancle, trying to haggle, the operator said ok then!
Whats the best thing to do from here? I need 200 inclusive minutes as a minimum, thats all.

Debt free since July 2013! Woo hoo! The bank actually laughed when I said I have come in to cancel my overdraft.

Move away from orange!
They are more expensive that the other networks anyway.0 -
They do, but you have to spend more to make a deal worthwhile for them.hellokitty08 wrote: »Do mobile phone places not do deals any more?
Just get it for £20 elsewhere and port your number. Shopping around pays more than loyalty nowadays.0 -
If they're not interested in keeping you, then just move to an operator that will give you want you want. There's no point being loyal any more.0

So no one sees me having any problems with going to the carphone warehouse for 200 mins inclusive, unlimited texts and 100mbs of data for £20.50 a month?
Well apart from the problem that some people dont like the carphone warehouse! heheheDebt free since July 2013! Woo hoo! The bank actually laughed when I said I have come in to cancel my overdraft.0 -
I don't see how CPW can be any worse really. If you get the deal you want, then that's all that matters imo.0

It doesn't have to be CPW:

If you find some deal don't forget to check if it is available through quidco/TCB.0

I have cancelled three contracts with Orange this week,i have been offered far better deals from Tesco & CPW,in the region of £10 per month per phone.I got the impression from the girl in the disconnection department they were finding it difficult to compete with Tesco, she said not another one!!when i told her what i had been offered0

The could have o2 syndrome, where you want to get rid of customers that make you no money so just let them disconnect then offer.0
