MamaMoo, we have something similar going on here - we don't get post for a couple of days, and then get 10+ items delivered on the third. It's almost as though RM save it up for us, lol. The post round here is awful in general, if I have to get something to someone local, I'll drop it off rather than send it. At least I know its there, I've sent so many items that RM have lost, and also people are getting fed up of having to resend documents to me.

  • call customer services, and get neighbors to do the same.
some new working systems now make it hard to complete the duties,
on heavy days we are supposed to guess the amount of mail we take out and leave the rest in on the hope that another posty will do it on overtime,
sometimes even some of the mail taken out comes back, but it should be taken the next day and a different area left if no time to deliver it the next day either,
so you should not go more than 2 days without mail, and i know thats not right.

because of them forcing later start times on us, quite a few MUST cut off in order to pick up the kids from school.
some even finish quite near but must travel back to the delivery office, which can take as much time as the mail left undelivered to be taken! crazy i know, but thats the rules RM have set.
  • The delivery times are getting later.
I used to be a postman and my start time was 4am,but the postie doing the same round now has a start time of 6am
    Owing on CC £00.00 :j

soon to be 7am or later
  • We have noticed similar poor service
We get batches of post about every third day, nothing on others, annoying as I order plants by post
postie used to sit on a wall up the road smoking for part of the morning, that was when we noticed the batching
now post arrives at 4pm, have seen them get out of what looks like a private car and start delivering post - could this be a RM vehicle, clapped-out looking mauve vectra or similar?
I've just paid £15.95 to have an important letter delivered rather than trust to normal first class - time was first class would have done fine

you could have used special delivery for under £6
    anyway
    4pm,and?
    times are a changing
start times are later, duties are longer, staff levels cut by 10's of 000's
I have said for ages people wont be interested until the changes effect them
    well here it is
As for the private vehicle. RM love posties who use ther own cars
no fuel costs,no service costs and no need to get staff to their delivery points
also be aware the system is changing. for example Saturdays are becoming one of the businest days off the week
    Mondays & Tuesdays the quietest
this is down to the way mail centres are staffed and the way DSA mail is injected into the system
I get more mail on a Saturday than i get all week

as for skid112 and their one delivery a week by a "supervisor" (whats that? manager?)
well what would that tell you about the reasons for not getting deliveries. who would you think was causing that?

No please enlighten me? Does it mean because no one is in during the day that we don't get mail? Or do you mean that the postman is scared of our cats? or that we (and the rest of the close) have upset him/her in some way?
