    ((((JackieG))))

Felt a little spaced out this morning but I was told to expect that after ydays treatment, but I did sleep really well last night.

I'm in work today and assessing files, boring! But everyone is in a good mood as we are going out tonight :D It's army man's leaving do so we going to play pool, have few drinks and go for a curry. I'll be the only girl with 9 men - which sounds fun but trust me, apart from army guy, none are eye candy :rotfl:. But they are lovely guys and will look after me. I was going to wear a dress and heels but when I discovered the plan I've decided on jeans and smart top instead! I probably shouldn't drink to much as it can affect the vertigo and Dr said not to do anything this week that can set me off.

No OS today, apart from bringing HM soup for lunch

    Have a good day all

    Morning All,
Bit of a later 1 for me as I woke up at 6.30 & have barely left the bathroom since  heaven knows what brought this on but I wish it would go away NOW.
DP has the dentist today, thank-you for the saltwater hint yesterday ( I can't remember who it was :o)
I am hoping to have a little sleep & wake up feeling better as I have a whole load of phone calls, emails & forms to sort out :(
Sending supportive hugs & get well soon vibes to all that need them, adult, child or furry friend x
Hope you all have as good a day as is possible x

    Morning all!

Another gorgeous sunny day here, so have stripped bed and flung bedding into wash, actually put fresh bedding on straight away rather than waiting till bedtime when I'm pooped! Go me! Cupboard of doom is slowly getting sorted, another two shelves are done - they have OH's stuff on and he sorted them, but I have made a start on the rest, babies bedding is away in the airing cupboard and throws have been decluttered back down to the sitting room sofas!

Just need to wash pots, prob stick another load on to wash and run the hoover round. Made bread dough last night and left it in the fridge for its second rising, it is now trying to take over - but will be turned into wraps later for dinner, chicken for ds, dds 2 and 3, and roast veg for me and dd1, have rice in freezer and lots of salad stuff and cheese. Good job I've just eaten brekkie else my tum would be rumbling thinking about it!

Made lemon drizzle cake and fudge too last night, fudge is more like tablet but still delish, and cake is cos I have a friend round for coffee this aft, she is a star cake maker, so hopefully it'll be up to scratch (and the slightly overdone top won't be noticed, I was busy beating the fudge and forgot the cake was in the oven!)

Took dd4 to toddlers again yesterday, she stayed awake this time and was quite interested in what everyone was up to! I know she's a bit small, but I go with a friend that I met at toddlers when our now 10 year olds were tinies, she has a two year old, so it's kind of like old times, and then we have lunch - my turn yesterday and I whizzed up a few of Asda's 25p cans of toms, a sad onion and bit of garlic, and some cream that needed using up into soup, and made focaccia quickly before we went, was very nice and very os mse! OH and ds said next time could I put the onions in the dough rather than on it, as they fell off - everyone's a critic!

Going to have a quick browse now whilst Spud is having a snooze, then she can sit in her chair and chat to me whilst I whine about the cupboard and all the carp we've (me) kept!

    Have a good day xxx

Morning all, boys delivered to school - DS1 with swimming kit and DS2 with spare clothes as his class are going to Saltburn today (not a day I'd want to go to the beach!) - then this afternoon he has gymnastics after school. DS1 and I will grab some quality time.

So today I have the WM on -1st load out on the line and am cleaning the house room by room. Bathrooms done, dining room done and will be back on it after finishing the coffee cup. Have kitchen, sitting room and washing to put away. Really must make the bed tonight too. Right - postman been, so better get on!
Me, OH, grown DS, (other DS left home) and Mum (coming up 80!). Considering foster parenting. Hints and tips on saving £ always well received. Xx

March 1st week £80 includes a new dog bed though £63 was food etc for the week.
  • Hi all,

Was up at 5 sorting for my Dad and SM,s arrival from Canada this morning - DD got up at 7 and decided to cause havoc, screaming and shouting about nothing in particular:mad:

Hope she arrives back from school in a better mood - Dad etc arrived at 9' was great to see them as havn,t seen them for 5 years, after a cuppa and a chat, they have now crashed out for a couple of hours.

Repaired WM is getting a bashing due to the mountain of stuff that had built up over the week it was out of action - thank god the sun is shining or it would have cost a fortune in the TD :)

Pre-prepared veg lasagne for dinner with HM colslaw and bread.

Now just waiting for OH to finish work for him to meet the parents for the first time:D he has been a star helping me get the house straight for their arrival :p. Just hope they get on.....

Anyway have a fab day all xx

  • Mummy2jack I had the same problem with my son, a boy at school would strangle him, kick him in the 'peanuts' (his word not mine), kicked him, bit him etc etc... I was constantly in and out of the school about it... the Head teacher tried his best, but it never stopped for long... I kept getting told that the other boy didn't know any better (yeah right!)

Then we got a new Head Teacher and she sat them down together, and asked the other boy why he was doing this to my DS... and he responded that he was jealous over my DS friendship with another boy, and how he was always having fun and he just felt left out. DS responded that it was silly for him to feel that way, and he was welcome to play whenever he wanted, he just had to ask! DS also said that he was happy to forget the past as it couldn't be changed and just move on (how mature was he?)

This was a year ago, and it's all completely stopped. The boy in question rarely plays with DS but knowing that he is welcome has stopped the bullying. It's amazing what children do for the oddest reasons. My DS now says to any child who picks on him 'if you want to play with me you can' and most of them leave him alone... it's so very odd, but DS is much happier in school for it :D

LOL I went on a bit, but maybe it'll help your situation x

That is really strange as all this stems from another little boy who both my DS and this other boy like playing with too... I did put it all down to jealousy a few months back when the biting begun so I asked my Son to start playing with this boy too so he wouldn't feel left out, this seemed to do the trick for a few weeks but it seems that the problem has started up again.

The school has been great when I report these incidents the school take both boys and ask them and they both say exactly what has gone on and then the school take action against the boy in question... I find this hard as they restrict the boys play time and I feel guilty for that as he is only 5yrs old but then on the other hand I hate the thought of my little man going to school and being hurt.

I have thought of going to this little boys mum to see if we can sort something out where they can both play together outside of school.

    Thanks for you reply.... x

    Afternoon all,
Haven't been on here lately as I've spent most of the time in bed, bathroom, bathroom, bed. DH has been wonderfull apart from waking me up this morning because he was worried, I'm never up later than 6am so at 8 he came into the bedroom with a coffee for me. Minutes later it went through me like a dose of salts. Getting fed up now.
I'll get the results of blood tests and biopsies when I go to Dr at 4.15pm.
I'd like to thank all of you for your kindness and positive vibes, also sending them on to all other poorlies and worried friends on here.
Sorry I haven't caught up with what's been going on but will do later.
    Bless yah all. :A
    MOLLY, thanks hun.

September weekend here - off school today and Monday! Got up early today and went to C*met clearance to look at TVs, saw a couple that would be ok so having a think about it. Also went to Mr Ts for a couple of bits, nearly bought a bed set for DD (hers are covered in make up!), it appeared to be reduced to £9 but was actually £25 when it went through the till. I decided that at £9 it was a bargain but for £25 I didn't need it! Called at Ikea on the way home but wasn't really in the mood so just bought a soft drink and came home again. Cheap day out really.

Hugs to all of you feeling troubled and down, sorry can't remember you individually, head like a seive!

Off to other work at 6, fajitas for tea, take care. XX
