    Morning everyone

Sun trying to break through broken cloud here this morning, so hoping for some sunshine. Boys up, have had brekkie and are now getting ready for school.

Have the usual round of bank, shopping, cooking and packing - this is last weekend of going away for a while - and DH's term of being Chairman finishes at the AGM next weekend, so this weekend is going to be a big one as we have lots of important people attending and hoping everyone's going to have a really good time. Have my posh dress out and ready, was really chuffed I managed to wear my new high heels all last Saturday night and not fall over (even at the end of the night!!) so will be wearing them again. Have camera at the ready as want lots of photos too.

Will be really getting into OS again once this weekend is over, the last few weeks have been a bit expensive, want to get back to proper menu planning and cooking - feel like I've let it slip in the last few weeks.

Have a great day everyone, hugs to those that need/want them, take care.

Looks like its going to be a lovely day here

I have got to go in the school and have a word with DS's teacher, towards the end of last term my 5yr old came home 3 times with bite marks on him, all from the same little boy  last night DS came home and whilst having dinner he mentioned that the same little boy had been hitting him on his head for the past 2 days, so I need to go in the school and try and nip this in the bud before it turns into biting again!
I really do feel so sorry for DS as he is the most sweet natured loving little boy who wouldn't hurt a fly & I don't want the behaviour of this other boy rubbing off on him.

So when I have dealt with the above I am going to crack on with sorting the spare room out, I did plan to do it yesterday but instead chose to close the door and forget about it! today it will be done though as I need somewhere to store all my Christmas goodies

Yesterday I bought myself a large pad to use as a household Manuel, so wrote a day by day list of household chores to be done.
I want to get everything de-cluttered in the house between now and Sunday as I want to start using it from Monday, hopefully it will keep me on track and prevent my house getting cluttered again.

WM is on, DW needs unloading then re-loading.
Next weeks menu plan needs to be wrote, I need to do a inventory of the freezer first though as I plan to use up what I have in for next week dinners
Dinner today is HM chicken and mushroom curry out the freezer for myself and DH and a frozen portion of Spag bol for DS so an easy dinner tonight.

Hope everyone has a lovely day...... x

Well a busy friday planned for me, I am returning to work after being off sick for a few months (depression and work stress not a good mix) and the tablets my GP put me on has made me put on some weight :( I need a few basic items to wear so off to do a little bit of clothes shopping, then off to hobbycraft for a wander round and look for wool for DS2 scarf he has requested plus look for a magazine for my mum cant find.

when i get home i am hoping to tackle the spare bedroom and sort out a planning list for winter have already checked coats, hats scarves and gloves for everyone. Just want a list of things I want to get next pay day.

Tea is pizza for the kids and not sure for OH and myself yet need to rumage round freezer and cupboards.
  • Just popping in quickly before I go to work. Got up this morning and made the girls lunches and their breakfast. Filled in numerous forms for them to take into school, trips, music lessons etc.

Have a decent day at work planned, visiting a lovely lady and help her with housework, then off to a sit call for a couple of hours where I mainly fuss their dog!

Then after picked the girls up from school, shopping should be delivered (day 1 of my grocery challenge!)
Better dash off to work, hope everyone has a good day

Taplady - hope your new machine turns up soon!

Mumof2girls - what a worry for you; I hope your DD feels better now.

MummytoJack - good luck at the school; you're so right - it needs to be nipped in the bud asap.

Well, the washing is out on the line, I've swept the floors, cleaned the bathroom, made the marinade for tonight's chicken, and now I have to do my written work, so I'd better crack on.

Lovely, bright day here today if a bit nippy but it is set to get warmer as the day goes on :D

I need to scrub out the wheelie bin with some disinfectant cos it was emptied yesterday and it stinks.

I am off to town in a minute to get an anniversary card for DH (24 years on Monday  where do the years go?) Mind you the old s*d is lucky I am getting him one cos he has just come up to the window and banged it so hard it made me jump out of my skin and is now giggling like a schoolgirl smiley-rolleyes010.gif

Well I had best get on.

    Have good days all x

So today is the dreaded day where I have to 'talk' to my Ex about the way he deals with DS9!! I laid some groundwork yesterday, and he seems receptive... I told him being a 'single parent' is really hard (which he is now his mum isn't there to look after him and DS)...!

Well my Parents are freaking out about the Ex situation, they think I should apply for full custody... they have decided that they want to see DS more, but ONLY on my Ex's weekends, which is terrible of them to ask and put me in that situation, because what right do I have to restrict my Ex's weekends!

Anyway, they don't see DS often (their choice because they want him when I am not arround for quality time, but I live 40 miles away) but if they want to see him more then I have decided that half terms and holidays when I have him is when they can see him because I think what they ask is unreasonable apart from the odd occasion (as they live near my ex)

But now they want him for most the half term coming up, which means between my ex and my parents I get 4 days out of 10!!!! DH is going to talk to my parents tonight (when we visit) and say no, it's too much, because DS has friends he wants to play with during the holidays and HW and the 4 days we have him we are going away so we have to create a balance for us!

But I do accept that they are trying to do what they think is best for DS, but giving me a headache during a hard transition for us all with my Ex.

Sorry for the rant... but I feel like everyone is fighting over DS, and no one realises that he's my son, and I want to spend time with him too!!! I might be having a baby, but I am still his mum!

Anyway, today the bread is on (for DS to take to his Dad's) and the washing is on, I have to fold the dry stuff, tidy the house. DH is home at lunch, blood donation for him before collecting DS from school, then to my parents, then I will go alone to my Ex to talk to him before dropping DS and coming home!!!

Hope everyone has a good day x

  • Mummy2jack I had the same problem with my son, a boy at school would strangle him, kick him in the 'peanuts' (his word not mine), kicked him, bit him etc etc... I was constantly in and out of the school about it... the Head teacher tried his best, but it never stopped for long... I kept getting told that the other boy didn't know any better (yeah right!)

Then we got a new Head Teacher and she sat them down together, and asked the other boy why he was doing this to my DS... and he responded that he was jealous over my DS friendship with another boy, and how he was always having fun and he just felt left out. DS responded that it was silly for him to feel that way, and he was welcome to play whenever he wanted, he just had to ask! DS also said that he was happy to forget the past as it couldn't be changed and just move on (how mature was he?)

This was a year ago, and it's all completely stopped. The boy in question rarely plays with DS but knowing that he is welcome has stopped the bullying. It's amazing what children do for the oddest reasons. My DS now says to any child who picks on him 'if you want to play with me you can' and most of them leave him alone... it's so very odd, but DS is much happier in school for it :D

LOL I went on a bit, but maybe it'll help your situation x

mumof2girls hope your dd feels better today

Morning all. Today is my day off so me and OH are going for a walk all afternoon, after I have a bath, vacuum and mop all the floors and order the shelves I thought i'd ordered but hadn't :rotfl:
I have almost sorted my timetable for university; in short they had planned to not give me a timetable and on the morning i'm due to go back they would email me saying i need to go in and change modules. !!!!!!!s  Why would they do that? Grr there are huge repercussions if we give our module form in late yet they don't look at it for FOUR MONTHS.
Anyway... just cleaning today and tonight I might start on puddings for tomorrow. My house are having a roast dinner tomorrow with some of our friends and mine and OH's contribution is pudding; pear pie and apple crumble on the cheap with reduced pears, foraged apples and AF pastry. And custard, which I might actually have to pay more than 20p for :o
Living cheap in central London :rotfl:
