pepipoo is harvested advice issued by others, stored and databased, but as they banned most of the legal experts who created the advice database on the subject, it is hard to get good advice on new items.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Yep, looks like it is just a PPC tactic and they are using railway byelaws to scare people into paying. Even bloody Northern Rail are at the PPC game!!!
It would appear Biggiet123 that the advice from some of the experienced posters on Pepipoo, to someone else, was to ignore, so suspect you will get the same advice.
I think I would ignore and get on with my life, keep the letters, just in case and then just watch the threats dry up and let them move on to another victim.0 -
Thanks everyone for you input
I have seen some information on the internet stating that if a company are memebers of BPA they have to stick to BPA guidelines, one of those being the following.... "section 15.4: You must not use terms which imply you are acting under statutory authority: this will include terms such as ‘fine’ or ‘penalty’"......and unlike the police and local authorities, private parking firms have NO power under the criminal justice system!!!! So pretending that they do is classed as misrepresentation of authority.
are these guidelines/statements correct if there are (apparently) byelaws covering the car park??0
