PMT purchases - eek!

Ladies, do any of you make crazy purchases in the run up to or during your TOTM? I have a bizarre leaning towards metallic blue puffa jackets and have bought around half a dozen of them over the years and never worn any of them :o

I bought another one at the weekend without taking notice that my period was due and it only clicked when it arrived today and I realised that I had done it again :o Thankfully this one was pretty cheap and will make a nice item for the charity shop but flipping heck how do I get over the pre-menstrual shopping urges?

Anyone got any similar tales of woe that get in the way of being MSE?

  • I can't go into Lakeland that week. Not allowed any more.
If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.

I just have a tendency to buy chocolate, but then again I do that every other day anyway!

I have been known to go supermarket in the middle of the night in my pj's and snug (long black wooly cardi) to buy cholclate!! If I don't DH will end up waking up covered in either bruises or make up, As well as nail varnish!! Cus I get either irritable or bored... lol

My friend and I both get this - we went together on fri and had to try and filter each others purchases for crazy pmt-ness. We mentioned it at work and everyone looked at us like we were mental but I bet if they take note they will realise they do it too.

I start looking a clothes in bright gaudy colours. I'm aware of it now so I usually resist temptation now, as I know I'll hate them a week later.
  • Handbags is my weakness!
  • I am so glad it's not just me! Although I haven't yet bought any blue puffa jackets...

I do tend to suddenly want to buy clothes in very bright colours though, and very in-your-face styles.

The only good thing is that I also become very indecisive when I have PMT, so I often run up huge shopping baskets on several online shops, and then can't decide which items to buy or from which shops, so end up buying none of them! This helps to avoid total bankcruptcy....
