    Lite pad plus.

  • I used a led one from Argos on my desk and a daylight bulb from ebay last winter and noticed the difference in my mood.

What has that got to do with S.A.D

These light boxes have been proven to work its not snake oil, fair enough some may be better than others

I has one as I feel run down in Winter. I got mine from Argos it has led's I mainly use it in Winter for a little while. Its so easy to dismiss the problem if you dont have it, for some these do work but it may not be for everyone
  • SAD had ruled my life for years, even down to when kids were born and changing jobs etc. A Lumie light I got a few years back changed everything... it is real and the lights do work.

I guess we're now entering the changeover period so if your suddenly getting mood swings (and again around Easter time) then deffo try a lamp, I call mine my "happy" light as it stops the SADness.

SAD is middle class Bipolar II

You would be far better off with a mood stabiliser (not the same as an anti depressant), than a lamp.

  • my clock arrived today, quick delivery (:

first impressions is that the LED's are very directional so you'd probably need to be "in the beam" to get the full affect, which may or may not be a good thing. the dimmed clock may also turn out to be just that bit too bright for my liking

good if your partner doesnt want to be in the light and your head is in just the right position, not so good for everyday use as you need to be very carefully positioned to get the full affect

personally i'll be sticking with my more expensive non-LED SAD lamp that sits below my PC monitor...
  • I am suffering from SAD since summer arrived in Northern Ireland --
from what I remember Summer was "1 day in either May or June"
so in my mind nothing to do with middle class bi-polar?
