Would casual clothes do for the set-up/chill-out session etc? I agree, it is a lot for one guest to attend!!7 Feb 2012: 10st7lbs14 Feb: 10st4.5lbs

That's what I thought - jeans, maybe a smarter pair of trousers or a skirt for meals, and two or three tops to cover all events apart from the day itself. I doubt anyone would mind if you wore the same top twice! (as long as it's still clean)

Bless you sweetheart and Wanchai...thanks for the suggestion...but at my age even casual takes a bit of doing now....!!!!
This wedding and the associated "social gatherings" has been a bit like waiting for a bus....I dont go out for months on end ...then ive 5 events come along in one go...frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

We're not going to go OTT for our wedding and put pressure on our guests to attend lots of things, it'll go something like this:
- I'll do all my honeymoon packing before I finish work
- Finish work 1 week before the wedding
- Possibly a few pre-wedding drinks with friends on the Friday night
- Go home to my mum's (where the ceremony willl be) for the week leading up to the wedding
- See various friends and neighbours who will drop into the house over the week, maybe invite everyone in one night for drinks and craic
- My aunt arrives from England on Wednesday/Thursday - rehearsal??? Last time I will see OH before the wedding!!!
- Quiet evening in with the family/bridesmaid on Friday
- Wedding on Saturday
- Both families will hopefully stay with us in the hotel on Sunday - have a big lunch together and some time to chill out and relive the day - if we are flying from an airport closer to my mum's we could all stay at hers that night
- *Maybe* (if OH gets his way!) honeymoon on Monday for a month
And then when we get back from honeymoon we will do the rounds of the country visiting family and friends, showing off the wedding album etc! Something to look forward to!7 Feb 2012: 10st7lbs14 Feb: 10st4.5lbs

The barbecue we are having on the Saturday (day after the wedding) will be at Mother and father in laws house. We will be providing all the food (and lots of drink for those that can stomach it) so won't be putting any expense pressure on any of the guests.
We are two sociable families (has resulted in a total of approx 250 guests coming to wedding) so really looking forward to the wedding and the day after. We enjoy each other's company, so the more the merrier! Me and the OH are looking forward to the relaxed BBQ - and won't be bothered how many of our guests show up, although there could be about 70-80 folk there.Getting married to a wonderful lady on August 10, 2012.
Need to save up, lose weight, reduce my money worries and get back to being the real me! :j0
