The witch hunt on here regarding another member is disgraceful and hopefully MSE will deal with the offending members.

Yes it would be nice if MSE dealt with those who keep calling other posters paranoid, without any basis to do so.
[greenhighlight]but it matters when the most senior politician in the land is happy to use language and examples that are simply not true.

The impact of this is to stigmatise people on benefits,
and we should be deeply worried about that

    Absolutely, what a refreshing post.

But also rather irrelavent, considering the fact atos reports are not given as much weight with dla.

Just taks someone with you as a witness and don't get yourself all worried about recording.

    Wont do you much good.

Its your word, and the word of a friend or relative, against the 'professional doctor' or 'nurse'.

A recording is the only way you can prove anything.

iv had two atos medicals and in my case felt they were fair, accurate as the report allowed them to be, i had one with a bloke who read everything out he had written before the interview ended. the other was with a lady , she didnt offer to show me but i requested a copy be sent and it arrived in the post just after the decision.

cit k im appauled by how aggressive you are being towards the atos person, and if i was a mod you would have been locked out the thread by now.
your aggression and ranting will spoil things for anyone asking reasonable questions because who is going to answer when being spoken to in that manner?

Its hardly agressive behaviour to ask fair questions.

I take it these were DLA medicals?

They should stop being so paranoid. As long as you can use the evidence to help get your Benefit, what's the problem?
Because it restricts them from using it as propoganda.

Just recently a family member had to be assessed by ATOS regarding their DLA claim, nothing but praise from us regarding the ATOS assessor who carried out this assessment. Very polite, very professional. The report was sent to the DLA unit and the award remained the same.

The witch hunt on here regarding another member is disgraceful and hopefully MSE will deal with the offending members.
Funny how some of those those involved in the witch hunt are the first to claim harrassment when they are faced with facts they don't want to hear.

They can't all be made up, but some are, and you very rarely hear about the 'medicals' that went OK, which I'm pretty sure are in the majority.

Assume you are going to be treated fairly, explain your case as well as you can, with evidence and try not to worry too much (I know that can be difficult sometimes).
Indeed statistics show this to be the case.

DLA is a completely different beast to what most people complain about, IB and ESA.

With DLA, the atos report is given less weight than the claimaints own evidence, and evidence from other parties.
Sorry I don't believe a word of this statement.

Perhaps you should keep up with the news, and how often atos has been getting sites closed down.

    Its not paranoia, its fact.
Perhaps you could enlighten us as to how many alleged sites ATOS have closed down. Is it sites where people like yourself allege all sorts? Where people like yourself border very closely to libel.

RE: Atos responding to ANYTHING. They're not allowed to.

I am not a qualified Health Care Professional and am therefore unable to comment on particular medical conditions.

"

To respond on a case by case basis is Data protection Breach. they can only answer questions like, when was ATOS set up, where does ATOS operate. They cant even answer on general medical grounds in case someone sues them for wrong info...

RE: Censorship/Website TKO's/ATOS's presence on forums...

i'll let ATOS explain how it works to you...

More Complaints, less money.... Less Complaints, more money.

    RE: Working practises....

If you seriously have a problem with ATOS and their working practices, report it to your local MP, after all ATOS is DWP is Government.

    Tip for ATOS:

    "ATOS Help lines for clinicians
Please do not give these numbers to patients"

Erm, dont post them on a publically viewable, government owned website then!
