The post above yours says the seller asked OP to wait 14 days not to wait for them to put in a claim?

I have no problem with that I was just asking what route to go down if I don't receive it in the end.

My apologies, this board seems to be very much of the opinion of 'open a dispute as early as possible'.

According to OP seller responded with
Seller advised me they have been told by Royal mail to wait 14 day's,

which has nothing at all to do with the buyer and as such should be ignored and a claim opened after a suitable interval.

  • I would just open a full chargeback on paypal on about day 10 and be done with it.

Considering you're a respected poster that's a very general comment to make, some may take it as 10 days from when they paid and if a purchase was made on a Friday afternoon 10 days could be just 2 working days late for 2nd Class mail, assuming the seller sends the very next (working) day.

The seller obviously feels 14 days is a suitable interval, as do I (14 normal days not working days), all customers are asked to allow 2 weeks from the date of posting and none so far have had issue with this.
