Thats why impatient people should stick to the shops and leave Ebay for the rest of us.
I second that, wanting to open a dispute after just 6 working days, lovely buyer....In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces0 -

Actually unless I missed something called THE OBVIOUS the buyer doesn't give us an idea on the sale date, just the date the seller says they have sent. You cannot assume they are the same.iwant2savemoney wrote: »Contacted seller yesterday and they told me they sent it out on 13th sept, should have received by now ??.0 -
God forbid someone should want what they paid for promptly. Whatever next?"Well, it's election year, Bill, we'd rather people didn't exercise common sense..." - Jed Bartlet, The West Wing, season 4

The recommendation is to use Paypal for any dispute unless the item is fake, in which case eBay should be used0

Why though?0

Patient buyers not opening disputes 6 days after dispatch?

Hasn't got anything to do with it, you've been told it was sent on the 13th, if the seller posted later than advertised that's what feedback is for.In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces0 -
Seller advised me they have been told by Royal mail to wait 14 day's, I have no problem with that I was just asking what route to go down if I don't receive it in the end.0

no no no, if a seller tells you to wait until they can claim from royal mail, it's a definite no no. They're don't know eBay rules and if they had their way, if they didn't get a refund from royal mail, they probably wouldn't refund you!0

Now seller expects you to wait for an RM claim to be opened I would just open a full chargeback on paypal on about day 10 and be done with it. I stop dealing with sellers once they start quoting me RM policy (which incidentally they got wrong as it is 15 working days)I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. The post above yours says the seller asked OP to wait 14 days not to wait for them to put in a claim?

My apologies, this board seems to be very much of the opinion of 'open a dispute as early as possible'.In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces0
