I want to withdraw a small amount of cash (£34.50) from barclays, It is from my mothers acct though and was wondering if this would be a problem?
I know in natwest it isnt an issue as you just enter the card and pin and they give it to you. But iirc in barclays there are no handheld chip & pin machine thingys on their counters?
Yes i know her pin but due to the exact amount unfortunately cant use an atm.
thanks

They use card readers in Barclays and they ask you to enter your PIN.Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0

Unless you are administering your mother's account under a power of attorney your mother is breaking the Ts&Cs of her account by revealing her PIN to you. Obtaining cash by using your mother's PIN is like forging her signature even though you are doing so with her permission and for no personal gain.0

I totally agree if the bank ever got wind of it she could end up with getting her accounts closed.Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0

What its against the rules to deposit cash in someone else's account??? Jeez. I'm surprised the Co-Op havent shut my Mum's account then as both my brother and I pay in cash every month to it... she often puts cash into my account as well when I'm short..!*The RK and FF fan club* #Family*Don’t Be Bitter- Glitter!* #LotsOfLove ‘Darling you’re my blood, you have my heartbeat’ Dad 20.02.200
