I went to my local Extra tonight looking for bargains. Did not get anything but had an interesting chat with one of the manager's. I was telling him how I don't go to my local store anymore as they were so rude to me during DTD days. I was telling him how his store was so much more friendly. He used to work at my local store and told me that it was the worst store he had worked at for customers and staff alike.
Anyway we were discussing my local and he said 3 of the staff had been sacked this week for taking full advantage of the Terrys Chocolate Orange glitch. Apparently one of them is the one who always caused me a lot of bother and accused me of fraud on more than one occasion. He also said that the reason these things were occurring was because a lot of head office staff had been made redundant and the pricing changes had been outsourced to Hindustan.

How sad that people were made redundant especially since its coming up to Christmas.
Also The staff who got the sack i feel really sorry for them - everyone likes a bargain and just because they work there it shouldn't stop them from getting one!
Thats my opinion and i couldn't stop myself from writing this.

I picked up one today at my store (which is just a normal tesco) for £1.20. The barcode is 5055285304836.
I was so chuffed as my store is just a small one and doesn't usually have many of the glitches.
Another present for the xmas cupboard! :T

  • Thanks to weejinny for the heads up in Inverness. I got £106 worth of stuff for £7.00 today. All things that we needed like bed rails and duvet covers and a few craft box Xmas pressies. It is a huge help in times like these when pennies are short. Thanks again folks!

Glad to have been of help as I only found these bargains in the first place thanks to people on here posting their finds! Great bargains in that store, pity I'm back home now and won't be able to visit again!
