    Hi

    I purchased 4x meal deal for £40

Used a £9.87 JTD from previous purchases & £5.00 MOC

    Paid £25.13 cash
    Received another JTD for £13.16
    received another £5.00 MOC :j

Should have chosen some of the flat bread to maximise JTD, but wasnt aware at the time!!

But very good value all the same :rotfl:

Oh ... I might have to give it another whirl with some flat bread (might just be able to squeeze 'em in the freezer).

What's the JTD from the bread?

Never mind a gift card it shouldn't have been cash or back on your card! But I can see it wouldn't have been worth pursuing in that instance.

Just thought I'd let people know about another price match in the meal deal that is beneficial and it's the 1 x T FINEST ITALIANCHEESE GARLIC FOUGASSE 230G TESCO £1.99 ASDA £1.25

It's flat and about the size of a small pizza - some sort of flat garlic bread thing that looked quite nice - a lucky guess! So I ended up getting £4.03 back on the meal deal.

The chicken with lemon and herb butter was a no match, as were the strawberry cheesecake slices. Anyone found any others that are giving JTD?

    Found it! 74p JTD

Ok and add two cheap bottles of wine to get another 5% off all the wines as you get that when you buy 6 bottles.

Discount done at the till and it does not ruin the JTD amount if you get the mini bottles.
  • Good morning my fellow hunters,
i know that this is only a small DTD, but as they say
    "every little helps".
I had to pick up 2 large creams (600ml) large tubs yesterday and they all had a out of date SEL's, they stated £1.68 each or 2 for £3.
I think this was from the crimbo and new year promotion.
It went through the till as £1.68 each with no promo.
CS went to find the SEL and had no problem with giving me DTD of 72p i know its only a small DTD but i needed the items, so was a bonus. ;):)
  • I checked at my Tescos and it doesnt say anywhere at the customer service about the double your money back if a product is the wrong price.
So can i still claim it (if i ever find one quick enough) or is it only valid if a notice says so?

If you can't see a big blue sign with, amonst other headings, "If things don't add up" they have probably hidden it, some Tescos seem to stick the notice on sliding cupboard doors that can be conveniently "hidden". But it is a nationwide policy, if your store refuses to honour it either get them to call Head Office 0800 505555 from the CS desk or call them yourself when you get home and they should send you the difference on a gift card. Unlike some CS staff HO telephone staff are generally excellent and helpful.

I went and got another meal deal as follows today:

Montepulciano D'abruzzo Wine £8.29 T's £5.00 A's (had to go and find it in the wine section as the wine and SEL had been removed from the meal deal section)
    Fougasse as before £1.99 T's / £1.25 A's
    Chicken Chasseur
    Tarte au Citron

It did trigger the £10 meal deal, so think they may have just told stores to remove it from meal deal section without actually removing it from the offer on the computer?

May have slipped up getting the Tarte au Citron as just looked on mysupermarket at A's do an Extra Special one at £1, vs. T's at £2.50.
If they don't match that though I should get another voucher for £4.03, so in effect meal deal for £5.97! :T

Just wanted to say thanks to josie for the deal, my first JTD and post :), hoping to get more bargains and I'll be sure to share:)

Confirming meal deals still working. No puddings in meal deal area, but loads of the right ones in the chiller area. Finest £8.29 wine still going through on meal deal even though removed in my store from meal deal section. Found mine in wine area of store. Anyone know how long these deals are running for please.
