Does anyone know if any of the other wines other than the Montepulciano from the meal deal match on DTD at the moment? I can see there is a Finest pinot grigio for £6.99, and the Extra Special pinot grigio is currently £5 at Asda.

    Thanks in advance

Yes the pinot grigio gives about 2 pounds

Hi guys, does buying a side instead of a dessert actually work on the meal deal? Also, is the montepulciano still on today as it isn't showing online.

    Many many thanks to everyone!!

edit the above wine is now only £3 odd in Ts and As on mysupermarket!

Looks like a couple of people have had success with sides instead of desserts. I do remember this working a while ago and then completely forgot about it. I'd much rather have 2 sides as don't think much to the desserts in the offer.

The montepulciano d'abruzzo on mysupermarket is a different one to the one in the meal deal. the one in the meal deal is a "Tesco Finest" one (shown just under the cap in silver) and has a red label near the bottom.

Just searched for Finest montepulciano d'abruzzo on mysupermarket and found it http://www.mysupermarket.co.uk/#/shopping/findproducts.aspx?query=finest%20montepulciano%20red%20wine

Don't forget the Fougasse is also giving a JTD of 74p, so I guess if you got 2 of those and the wine, your meal deal would effectively be £5.23.

Thanks for this Josie cos it's not listing this wine online as part of
    the deal.

I also got 4 of these meals last week for £35 (using a conditional MOC) and then after the Price Checker the meal value comes down to £4.10 each. HTH

How are you getting £5.90 off? Or do you mean taking into account your conditional spend? As above even with 2 Fougasses it'd still be £5.23?

Pretty sure this hasn't been mentioned, but today I bought a ped egg in Mr T. It was on a clip strip and SEL was £4.75, however it went through the till at £9.99. Went to customer services and was paid 49 pence to take it away.

Hopefully there are some others around.

Thanks OP - found one, but surely you meant that you were paid 5.24 to take it away?

No I don't think they would have been... they paid 9.99 so overpaid by 5.24 = 10.48 DTD less the 9.99 already paid = 49p profit! :)

Yes, this is exactly right so the profit was 49p not £5.24 as Pammy-Peeps thought.

    Hi Josie

Yes you're right ... when I got 4 meal deals in one shop with a conditional MOC I got each meal for £5.46.

But I did another shop where I got 2 meal deals and then bulked out my shopping by a further £20 (2 roasting dishes, a set of scales) and then used my conditional spend MOC and a 22p JTD so all of this cost £34.78.

Then I put my receipt through Ts Price Checker and got £6.58 (£3.29 x 2) back.

    Then I returned the 2 roasting dishes and scales (unwanted gift). So £34.78 - £20 = £14.78

    So ... £14.78 less £6.58 JTD = £8.20 ... meaning I paid £4.10 for each meal. HTH

    Hi

    I purchased 4x meal deal for £40

Used a £9.87 JTD from previous purchases & £5.00 MOC

    Paid £25.13 cash
    Received another JTD for £13.16
    received another £5.00 MOC :j

Should have chosen some of the flat bread to maximise JTD, but wasnt aware at the time!!

But very good value all the same :rotfl:
