Not my usual Tesco but just got double the difference on leg of lamb. £4.99 yellow label on the end of the aisle. Leg of lamb £9.99 per kg, was the only one there. Had a look in the middle of the aisle with the other lamb prods and SEL £9.99 (with another leg of lamb there at £9.99 per kg. Bought one (no room in freezer for 2). Got myself the promo leaflet near the door, went off to CS desk and showed the very pleasant young lady who said she would go and look. I accompanied her (always best to make sure the SEL doesn't mysteriously go missing). Went back to CS desk where she was just going to refund me the difference. I pointed to the sign right behind her head. Oh, how the pleasant young lady changed. Said it must be a different lamb, I says oh, you mean as pork leg, beef leg or chicken leg, or did the sign just say leg of lamb, as per the description on this leg of lamb! Anyway fortunately I dont go in that Tesco much, but got the dtd with reluctance.

I had a problem with my local and obviously they recognise me at the desk now (not desirable but sometimes you have to insist, especially when you are right) and emailed the CEO's office. I have to say though now that, according to my email 'the store manager has been instructed to implement a programme of staff training to reinforce company policy and customer service', on the odd occasion I have since been to the CS desk, I have been dealt with professionally,no funny looks or being downright rude (which used to happen) because they have had their retraining! I do think though if they had a voodoo doll under the counter, I would be dead LOL

Lol I had a trout of the highest order who I mightily p'd off in my local a few years ago at the height of rnr thankfully she isn't there anymore.:D
  • Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for their helpful posts.
Managed to get several bags of the 60p basmati rice and also one bag 1p Harry Hill's nuts at Thet*ord!
Also noticed these at £1 each (the passion black and red ones), they had loads on the shelves,

Bought a couple, going to see if they're any good and maybe try and pick some up next week:)

The clipper tea bags, does anyone know the bar code and the exact name and quantity on the box. Another thread gave me the barcode but looked in the shop earlier and could not find them they had over 20 different variaties of clipper green tea in my tesco.

    Thanks in advance
  • Was in Tesco the other day and someone scanned the Tesco value bike light set and they came up as 15p. These were £2.50 rtc the other week. There were no more in Tesco, Fort Kinnaird, Edinburgh.

Finally got the CDM! Has been scanning at full price for ages - got in Gl0ucest3r Br0ckw0rth, no SEL but scans at 34p. Took 10 bars but left 10+ on the shelf. Also got the Mingles, again no SEL so several boxes available. The Koko truffles had correct SEL so no stock, disappointing! No lamb or nuts as far as I could see.

Not sure if it's been mentioned already but they had the small boxes of Toffifee for 66p. It's normally on offer at £1. Had big display showing the reduction, not many boxes left. I love the stuff so made sure I picked one up ;)

    Thanks all who share!

I've been looking for all misprices\DTDs in the new Extra store in Yate (Bristol) but everything always shows as normal prices. Has anyone else had any luck on anything there?
Tried Mingles, various nuts, tea, Coco pop things, CDM, chickens, gummies etc...
