I rang head office and got £32 back from them there for the trouble and they rang the staff at my store to set things straight too. Its well worth a call to head office :o

I would love to have the staff set straight, one of them was quite unfriendly and abrupt, I felt like a criminal, or something! I even asked the 'duty manager' to read the wording on the board behind her, I don't think she'd ever seen it before!

I'm tempted to go and get more legs now, out of spite for my trouble, there were lots marked 9.99 per kg!!

Sorry you have been well and truly fobbed off. I would be emailing philip.clarke@uk.tesco.com saying you have better things to do on a Saturday then spend 25 minutes at customer services to try and sort out a clear Tesco overcharge, receiving a rubbish excuse for the oveercharge and where the customer service assistant cant then implement the Tesco company overcharge policy (dtd). You could also suggest some staff retaining for the staff. I suspect you will receive a positive response and probably 'something' for your trouble.

Brilliant, thank you so much. I will email him with all my details, and suggest the staff retraining!

In order to help with the staff retraining, perhaps there are others on here who would like free lamb to help the staff along the way, bought mine in the large A*y*s*b*y store (bucks):)

I know how you feel, but if you are planning to keep trying for more dtds it is worth just fighting your corner enough to get your dtd but not making yourself too noticeable or unpopular. We win in the end - and I get more pleasure from the free food, and other items than I would get from a member of staff being carpeted or the manager banning me.

That isn't to say I haven't had a few heated moments with trout cs especially during r&r or that as you say I haven't had to read the blue board to a few of them but I am in it for the long game and try to get my dtd with as little fuss as possible.:rotfl:

And just to add I fully support emailing and complaining to get dtd when not given in the shop.

I had a problem with my local and obviously they recognise me at the desk now (not desirable but sometimes you have to insist, especially when you are right) and emailed the CEO's office. I have to say though now that, according to my email 'the store manager has been instructed to implement a programme of staff training to reinforce company policy and customer service', on the odd occasion I have since been to the CS desk, I have been dealt with professionally,no funny looks or being downright rude (which used to happen) because they have had their retraining! I do think though if they had a voodoo doll under the counter, I would be dead LOL

Had a look at the lamb yesterday.....every single one that I could find had the £4.99 label on them. Not one with the £9.99. So I guessed that they'd go through at the right price. Am going up there again today so will have a quick scout to see if anything has changed.

I did come back with 4 boxes of Mingles though. My girl will give them to various family members for xmas. Chances are the kids will eat them all anyway.

Love to my two angels that I will never forget.
• hello is the big T policy still double refund for overcharges?
• Hiya,

I think I've found a potential DTD on tubs of Maltesers. There was a box in a central isle filled with tubs which said £4 but now selling at £2. I snapped up 2, but just checked my receipt and I didn't get the sale price. I'll be asking for DTD.

I don't know if this is store specific, though.

Hi guys,
Anyone who has managed to get the clipper tea at 1p, inside there is a 30p voucher for any clipper green tea. These can be used to buy more 1p green teas and the extra 29p is taken off your shop.Yesterday got £2.90 off my shop. First week of looking at these forums so I am well pleased. No luck with the lamb tho.
