Franke minerva taps...

I want one!

Please persuade me that they are no good, are a gimmick, and that as I live in hard water area, the most expensive kettle I will ever have to throw away :(

Thank you

    Get a Quooker...much better :)
If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands

LOL, you're supposed to persuade me that they are all rubbish!

Quookers only do boiling water though don't they-they aren't a regular tap too? I like the idea of the thingy going under the cupboard too.

    But I can't afford one anyway :( ....

Although-it would do away with the "where do I put the kettle and is it bad to have it under the wall units" dilemma I've been having ;):D

I can't do that, they are pretty damn fantastic!

Yes, the Quooker taps are boiling water only, so you would need a seperate "normal" tap too. The thing with the Minerva is there is just too much to go wrong. I really don't think a 3-in-1 tap is a good idea.

However, you could always go for one of these:

    http://www.insinkerator.co.uk/products/shwt/hc-1100.aspx

Which gives you filtered hot AND cold water...what were you saying about living in a hard water area? ;)

I'm stepping away from the lovely taps now. I REALLY wanted a quooker, but just can't justify it. However-I can totally justify paying over £1000 more than we budgeted for, as I have fallen in love with the most perfect, beautiful, and insanely expensive granite in the world ;) (if only I could compromise on that I could have the quooker )
  • The boiling water taps I have seen in peoples houses are broken ones with people that regret buying them

I've sold around 30 of them in the last 5 years. Have never had an issue, not even a slight problem...

    Heh I'll just shut up...

I will give your number to the lady who hasn't used hers for 2 years because it was "fixed" 3 times prior the 2 years previous & now she has given up. :o
