    Surely that's "geni-i"?? No? ;)
It must be a peculiarity to Scottish stores your's is Aberdeen and mine is Glasgow!

The Birmingham Bullring genius bar is very good actually... Although the best service ive ever had is from the Apple Approved Retailer just outside the Merrion Centre in Leeds
  • Reading on 2 mentions of nectar card, can one purchase it throught nectar using nectar points? I think i have close to 5000 nectar points? and on another thread someone mentioned NHS discount, OH works for NHS but doubt if he's ever heard of it. What would be the savings if going that route? Thx

Apple will generally support you regardless of where you bought your device. I would buy it from Apple just because there isn't a price differential (apart from perhaps the Nectar points and QuidCo) and you get good, honest, non-biased advice.

My iPhone 4 went faulty a few days ago (I didn't buy it from Apple, actually it was second-hand, anyway doesn't matter!) and I called Apple Support as I had already done the things to try and fix it (full software restore etc..) and he made an appointment within the hour at a genius bar. They looked at my iPhone, said it was not working properly and presented me with a new one. You can't get better service than that.

Of course, you could start a debate about the fact the iPhone shouldn't go wrong so quickly, but I will say it again probably the best service I have received from a company.

Is the iPhone out or in warranty?

The iPhone was in warranty so they were legally obliged to repair or replace.

However, it is more the ease with which they did it as opposed to the legal requirement.
