  • All you lot saying apple customer service is the best have obviously never had to deal with the Aberdeen store.

Having said that, it doesn't matter where you buy it from as their 'Genius Bar' appointments are for everyone.

As someone said, if you have a nectar card you can get nectar points if you go the right way about it. Or, you could get it from Tesco and get 798* ClubCard Points.

*for the cheapest model, you get more points on the more expensive models.

Their support is excellent, and you can get cashback via quidco, etc.

The same can't be said for the likes of Currys/PCWorld, Comet who have very bad after sales service IME.

But if you buy the item in currys/pc world etc you can still go to apple for their after sales service

    not in store you cant

personally I would ask around and see if you know anyone who is either flying anywhere soon or works at an airport with a dixons tax free as they could get you an ipad cheaper than any store in the uk

If you buy in store, you can get them to turn the iPad on and connect it to their wifi, so you can check for dead pixels in store - use http://iphonedpt.awardspace.com or similar. They'll replace if it has dead pixels.
  • Bought from Apple store.
Got a good tutorial by very knowledgeable staff and didnt push their extended warranty.

You can buy the extra year warranty any time up to the end of the first year.
I got mine just before my first year was up and bought off eBay for £49 instead of £69.

    .
The "Genius Bar" at my store seems to be staffed by people with learning difficulties!

I never said the people behind it were "Geniuses" though!;);)

One of them in my local store called me a liar to my face once. I let it go but when 6 months later I had the same "genius" for another problem he refused to do his job properly because he couldn't replicate the problem in store so told me the appointment was over 45 seconds after it started. I got home and low and behold, the problem cropped up and my speaker went *POP*. I marched back down there and told them what had happened (loud enough for the "Genius" I saw earlier to hear me and darted off to the back room with his head down at a hundred miles per hour. There was quite a war of words between me and the manager that day I tell ya!

Even if you could I still refuse to buy from them.
