Will i get a crisis loan for a new bed?

Long story cut short, My bed got broken on Thursday night there, and i have still be sleeping on it but it has given me awful pain in my back and neck, I Have a Doctors apoointment tomorrow, hopefully get some painkillers.

I have taken a picture of the broken bed, as proof.

Problem is i owe around 800 from the social fund already about a year ago i had no payment for 9 weeks and they could only pay me crisis loans to live on. Any help would be great thanks.

My guess would be no, sorry.

Could you not just sleep on the matress or is that broken too?

Is there any reason why you can't place the mattress on the floor and sleep on that?
  • With out going into too much detail there is blood on the matress and the bed.

I thought crisis loans are not based on how much you owe already.

(tgt it's the budgeting loan that they limit)

To save further debt, can you try any charities in your area for a grant or see if anybody has one spare on such sites as Freecycle.

Alternatively can you sell anything to raise the money??
  • I dont really have much stuff left now tvh after what happend the other night, if you know what i mean without saying too much.

I think there's a limit to the amount of crisis loans you can have in a period of time, but I'm not completely sure on that.

  • Its not very practical tho is it?
  • Crisis loans no longer give beds, cookers ect.

They are only for daily living expenses (Unless you have suffered a disaster), another tory cut.

    Well, it isn't a crisis.
