Problems with Guaranteed4less AKA Advanced Global Productions and their M spa product

Hi all;

Short version of a long story;

8/9/2010 Order inflatable M spa from Guaranteed4less for £275. While it works, it is great.

13/4/2011 Control Panel fails, just beeps at me whenever it is turned on. I am told it needs a replacement pump and the whole thing needs to be returned (it is quite big and heavy). The pump costs less than the postage, so I replace it myself and the problem remains. Despite knowing it is just the panel that has failed, they insist the whole thing is returned.

1 month passes, they cannot give me a return estimate.

2months pass, they still cannot give me a return estimate.

We really want it back for my girlfriends birthday on 24/7/2011. We get repeated assurances it will turn up for the party. It does not arrive.

25/7/2011 We get hold of the tracking number to be told it was never collected by the courier.

12/8/2011 Many phone calls later we receive a replacement, over 3 months after sending it for repair. It quickly becomes apparent the replacement is a not our original spa and is a return, as we need to clean the previous owners hair out of it. With expectations suitably lowered, we set it up to find it has a filter pump so noisy we can't leave it on and the temperature sensor under reads by 10 deg C so even at maximum heat it is lukewarm.

I email the fact that the secondhand return it took 3 months to deliver isn't usable, but a reply isn't forthcoming.

The Spa is out of warranty now, but does the fact it was only working for 7 months of the 12 count for anything, or do I just put it down to experience?

  • Anyone any thoughts? Or have I done the unthinkable and actually created a post so mundane it won't attract a response in a consumer rights forum? Apologies to all viewers if that is the case.
  • Would it help if I said something controversial? Or made my spelling or grammar worse so someone could correct it?
  • i've just come off the phone from them steaming! had to return my aqua jet spa as heating element failed. wasn't collected on the day they said it would be. was told it would be mended and returned within the week. it's now 12 days later and they are fobbing me off. blaming their courier service, telling me they turned up and couldn't leave it 'cos no-one was there. (I had left a note asking it to be left in an outhouse). i ring the office to be told they are trying to track the courier...no-one ever gets back to me to say what's happening. having read your post i am concerned i may get the spa back in a worse condition than when i sent it off for attention.

    I'm in the middle of a dispute with this company at the moment,I purchased an electric fire (£260) in November 2011,it arrived in good time ,but when i opened the package the glass front was in a million bits,the packing left a lot to be desired with no fragile warning stickers . The company exchaned the fire no questions asked but I had trouble with the return package . They said they would deliver the fire on tuesday so my wife had the day off work, no delivery, many phone calls later and a near slanging match with the courier company ,who i had a tracking No for,and guarenteed4less finaly admitted the fire was still in the wharehouse???
    4 days later we have a fire.
    6 months later the fire stops working,my wife calls g4l and they say post it back to us at your expense and we will repair it,"not good enough" said I, they must cover the cost of postage,so i call g4l to tell them,and the very nice man agreed to cover the cost of postage and as my wife was off work next day would have it picked up then.Guess what ? no pickup my wife calls g4l and they deny ever agreeing to have the fire picked up .So I call them and speak to the most obnoxious person I have had the mispleasure to speak to,who then gives 100 reasons(all my fault)not have the fire picked up the main reason that I am a lier and didn't even ask for the fire to be picked up that day,the second reason that I never gave them my address to deliver to ?????they have posted this fire to me TWICE why would i have to give them my address ,the conversation got rather heated and she hung up. The saga continues and I will post the outcome.
    All I will sayfor now is if anyone is considering a purchase from guarenteed4less or the parent company,Advanced global productions ........THINK AGAIN

  • I have purchased 2 beds from this company and after complaining that they keep falling apart they just keep sending spare parts which took ages to arrive but the beds still kept falling apart now they are saying that I have to send the beds back to them in Birmingham at a cost to me from London and they will repair and return to me, so I called the company and spoke to a very rude lady so i asked to speak to a manager but was told the manager will send me a message later I had to ask again for the manager to call me so I could talk to her and I am waiting for that call now but judging by all the compliant on the internet I don't think im going to get anywhere with this company looks like we have all been conned
  • Bought this via amazon switched on the spa left it overnight to heat woke up went in there it was brilliant left it then for Afew hours while the filter does if work went back out only to find it has no power what so ever! Rang advanced global productions they advised me it was the control panel so they are sending out a new control panel for me to fix!!! Bare in mind I've had it a month only used for 24 hrs and this happens don't know how I'd get my money back as ur not covered on credit card as I bought it via amazon and cc companies won't take responsibility unless it was direct with the supplier ! See what happens will update .....
