If we asked 100 people who is genuinely the lowlife out of me and yourself, what do you think they would say?
your family must be proud, the only place you have any worth is an internet forum regarding benefits lol

    Reported as abusive TROLL

Look forward to them being shown the door.

I can't even imagine my day to day life without my laptop. I had to replace it before Christmas as my old one was well past retirement age and like Jack Duckworth's glasses on Coronation Street was held together with electrical/gaffa tape. A repair would have been silly money. It was a dent in my assets.

Why is my laptop so important? Because I am housebound, sometimes bedbound, most days & there is a limit to watching TV, reading which I can't do as too tiring & there is definitely a limit to staring at the same walls.

So I think there is an argument that computers can be as important as a disabled persons walking sticks, wheelchairs and such.

    Agree, luminated.

When I can't get out of bed, there is only so much I can do and the laptop is a lifeline, really :)

Why are people arguing over a post that was posted a year and a half ago?

It wasn't until I read this thread then I realised how much of a lifeline.

I check my bank every day - I have to making sure all is how it should be as my brain is not working as it did and I can easily miss things.

My wife is out if action so yesterday I did an online Tesco shop due in about half an hour otherwise I would have no milk or many other items of food.

I feel guilty I don't support physical presence shops but being a wheelchair user & even them feeling like what's 'it most days I can't. I've been trying to make an optician appointment since last April so shame you can't do a 'on the computer' self eye test.

I could go on and on but yes I would like to think those who feel their PC is their lifeline can always afford to have one.

Hang on their are no rules that say you can't and it is an important topic, the raising of which may well help some folks who never saw the original thread, so surely it is valid to resurrect?

I agree there are no rules to say you can't, but as the scheme as far as i am aware is no longer available it's a bit of a duff topic to get people riled up about.

I see where you are coming from but I have enjoyed reading others points of view and in here may be the odd tip/s.

Sometimes, when people ask a question, they are told a search would bring up topics on the subject which have already been discussed.

Personally, I don't see an issue in discussing something that is a year old as there will always be information someone could take from it.

I totally agree with both your points, it just seems that lately a lot of posts a deterioted into slanging matches. It's a shame because the original post gets lost in arguement.

Yes there a lot of trolls that pop up with intentions of just provoking an argument. As a result they upset some of the posters, especially new ones. These trolls need to be told in no uncertain terms to b****r off. Some are cleverer than others as they take a while to spot. However, as the stickies say, this board as well as Disability & Dosh:

"Its about helping people get their entitlement! Not about benefits policy!

This board is here for help and support for those on or looking to claim benefits, not for judgement."
