Been here since 2006, used to post more but it is a lot busier now and anything I find to post is already on!

I've been comping in general for around 20yrs.

I got the comping bug early when I won my first comp aged 10! lol

  • I have been doing mse comps since late 2007 or early 2008. I didnt register then, i was a lurker. Sorry.

I have been comping about 10 years i'd say, as I used to really have a thing for phone in radio competitions..... even as a child I'd try. Dohhhhh! "how old are you sweetie?" was a common reply. I won rather alot of cds in 2000 to 2001 on radio1 and virgin.

Best win, a week for 4 in florida universal.

  • I am quite a late comer to MSE comps - started early 2008, joined april 2008, then took a long (nearly 2 year!) sabbatical from comping.
But there are lots of fab posters who have been here for many years and are so commited that they deserve a medal :T.

Oh, You've just reminded me of my first comp wins when I was a child :D. I won a puzzle pen (A pen shaped rubicks cube basically) from a Quiz Kids magazine when I was about 10 for solving a crossword. I then won a hugs box of Tunnocks caramel wafers, when I was about 11, I was very popular at school for a while after that! :rotfl:
    Value of prizes 2010 - 2017: £8374 Wins 2022: Magic set
    Debt free thanks to MSE

Wasn't divadee the driving force in setting up the comps forum? My impression was that it wasn't really considered part of the general site - not real moneysaving - at first.
  • I feel like such a comping baby.:rotfl: I've only been comping seriously since January this year.:p I did do a few comps last year but it was a few here and there. This year has seen me really get into it.:o
