Climb aboard the hype train.
All this delay and rumour is just Apple's way of building hype.
Wish they'd just hurry up and say something tbh.0 -
A October launch in the US & a month later in UK/Europe for XMAS sales is very plausible - APPLE have delayed by releasing in the "seasonal" quarter will for 2011 and forward be the way to boost sales over the original "summer" quarter APPLE are accustomed to, XMAS period launch & sales = more sales !!!
Hor$e$ for cour$eS, electronic APPLE$ for the consumer driven world
My gifted 3GS is still going strong...only since mid iOS 4 updates did it become fully stable, 18 months after ownership - go on buy the 4S/5 and beta test for us all
SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe

Maybe they should link up:
PayPal
Facebook
Apple Store
Instead of a John Lewis wedding list, I could set up my iPhone 5 list on Facebook. People can pay £1 upwards for birthday and Christmas etc.
The list can be started before a product is available. So I can start the iPhone 6 list now, and by the time 6 comes out, there might be enough money in there.
Extend the concept to university fee? Start one when a baby is born?0 -

Seems like another rumour thread, I heard that the production lines were backed up and that apple might release an upgraded iphone 4, finally releasing thearth long awaited, anticipated 5 next year0

Thanks for the replies, I was just after knowing whether the mobile phone company were trying to fob me off, sounds like he was, as he was telling me that there was not a new phone coming out, just a software upgrade that weas due in May.
He was clearly after getting me to switch now. I'm not in the slightest bit bothered by having the latest i phone, was just a mere wondering whether when the new i phone is out it'll make the older i phones cheaper.0 -
The amount of speculation and hype surrounding this device, which hasn't even been officially confirmed as existing yet, is astronomical. I mean truly unbelieveable. It's amazing how much certain websites can write about something for which there are no hard facts or specs. I think the first rumours started just after the iPhone 4 was released over a year ago!
The latest rumours even seem to suggest that what will be announced shortly is just a cut down version of an iPhone 4, and that the next true model is delayed in manufacturing until into the new year.
All this fuss is just evidence that Apple products are like Crack - totally addictive, and with the delay that has occurred in the next release the Apple brethren are going manic in their desperation for their next fix.0 -
Personally, if I was just about to spend £600 on a mobile phone, I'd like to know about any possibily of a new model being released...Colin_London wrote: »All this fuss is just evidence that Apple products are like Crack
I don't think the OP or anyone else is being unreasonable in trying to find out what rumours there are about release dates etc.0 -
If you google iphone5 and look at some of the images that come up it's hilarious. Too many people out there with too much time on their hands using photoshop. I agree, very cleaver hype0

I think anybody would over any item and any price, however until the iphone 5 is officially launched to market (or any other item), then it is fair to say it does not exist.0
