Fair play to ryanair, last week little Damians Trunki wouldn't fit under the cardboard measuring device, so I nearly had to pay £40 to put it in the hold. I argued that my flight only cost £29.99 so they let me buy the trunki it's own seat for less, Damian was delighted.:A boots tart and tesco chick:A0

I never take my Trunki for this reason.0

Hi I experienced my first Ryan air last month. I followed the rules except water brought at the airport HAD to fit in my hand luggage :-) The only thing we were not happy about was the 'jobs' worth ground crew going out of the UK she was RUDE and embarrassing rolled her eyes at our offending water bottle (poor thing that was discarded) huffed at the queue enforcing our demise and practically salivated in expectation of failure as we placed our bag in the measuring device!! The flight was good the air attendants were great. I did hear a story of a Spanish women who was so incensed at the measuring frame, she carried in on board in defiance:-)

Pop the water bottle in your pocket, Ryanair welcome people taking their own food and drink (not hot or alcohol) to consume onboard. Obviously you have to buy liquids after security, Government Regulations.

I don't know why Ryanair get such bad press. Their T&Cs are made perfectly clear and you have to agree you've read and understand them before booking your flight.
They are very specific about hand luggage sizes so why do people complain when an oversized bag is charged for?0 -

Because people want to pay peanuts for a flight yet still expect premium airline service.I hate football and do wish people wouldn't keep talking about it like it's the most important thing in the world0 -
Just thought I would wade in on the Ryanair front......
Whilst I have to say they do provide a decent service cheaply if you abide by their rules, on a recent flight to Murcia I was dismayed at their cabin crew's behaviour. My husband and I were sat at the very front, right by the exit door and watched the chief stewardess, who had remarked that the cleaning crew had found an abandoned lighter on board, repeatedly light it and let it go out! I also watched, incredulous as those people who had ordered hot panninis, had them heated in what appeared to be the aeroplane version of a microwave. As they were very hot to remove from the device, the stewardess repeatedly visited the toilets to obtain hand towels to wrap the hot food in. How many hygiene regulations this breaches I dread to think. Needless to say my letter to Ryanair, which clearly stated that I was not seeking anything other than an investigation to ensure things like this would not happen again, remains unanswered.
I guess as interstellaflyer says - you get what you pay for.......0 -

And we'd better not mention what sort of job other 'respectable' airline's cabin crew do!

That's the problem. If you want first class service, pay massively inflated prices for it.interstellaflyer wrote: »Because people want to pay peanuts for a flight yet still expect premium airline service.
If you just want to get from A to B cheaply and efficiently, go with Ryanair.0 -
Hi Guys. I recently travelled to Sweden (Newcastle-Heathrow-Sweden) with British Airways and the staff on both planes were really nice, kind and helpful. And it only cost £82 one way, plus I got sarnie and 2 drinks included on both planes. I used to take Ryananir cos they fly to Vasteras in sweden which is better for me but since easyjet stopped fliight from Newcastle to stansted I'm stuck. Wish Ryanair would take over the New-Stansted route.0
