Hi, i've got a few vouchers that i want to use but all of them say "not to be used in conjunction with any other offer" does that mean i can't use them if they are already reduced in price? Or does it just mean if they are half price or BOGOF that i can't use them on?

For example i have a voucher for 75p off comfort and i have found that it is £6.50 reduced to £3. can i still use the voucher?

    thank you

It means you can't use the voucher unless you are paying full price for the item.

However, most CA's don't bother about this, it doesn't seem to be one of the things they are told to check.

I don't remember anyone saying the had a coupon refused because the item was on offer, but many people actually look out for, and use coupons in conjunction with offers to get products even cheaper or even free at times.
  • I have recently received a couple of safe coupons for 'Berry Burst' these are demo coupons and I don't know why Ive received them. Has anyone else had them?

Well what an absolute saga i've had with the Pizza Ristorante promotional pack coupons. After the shenanigans I had with printing them off but finding part of the coupon was missing, I contacted them and they kindly gave me replacement codes to enter. I printed the first lot at 85% to hopefully ensure the whole coupon printed, which it did, the second set I printed at 90%, still ok. Third set I couldn't get to print the whole voucher despite messing around with the settings.

Moving on to actually trying to use the coupons that did print ok, the first one I tried to use in Asda wouldn't scan and the assistant tried to put the coupon through but was told the barcode was invalid so they would not accept it. I went back into my local Asda today to try a voucher from the second set I printed off (which scanned ok), only to be told they are not accepting these coupons, something about there being problems with them and Asda not being paid, hmmmm.

So i've now printed off pages of coupons which look to be useless, what a shambles!

Definitely contact Asda's customer services (the main head office one, not in store). They are breaking the rules of their own coupon policy, which is company-wide, not store specific, so the staff at that store are taking liberties. If they take their complaints etc as seriously as Morrisons do (I used to work for them, so know if anything when through Head Office they would come down on the store in question), then the store will be contacted and staff (including the CS desk, till staff and supervisors) will be retrained on coupon policy at head office's request.

I'd be tempted to report it to Dr.Oetker themselves too, though not sure whether they'd actually address the issue with Asda, might be worth a try.

What part of asdas coupon policy says they will accept coupons that won't scan and have invalid barcodes?

All stores have a policy of not accepting coupons if there is any doubt about them. It not scanning and having an invalid barcode is reasonable doubt to me.

Im new to all this so sorry if this is silly! Are you allowed to print off the vouchers when viewing stores magazines online and pdf or do you have to use the actually printed magazines you pick up in store? Same for Tesco, Asda....?

you can print them off online, some stores are funny
about printed vouchers so they may or may not accept them

with cut outs they're guarenteed to work but it's harder to
cut out lots of vouchers rather than printing them out in
one go, i tend to pick up a handful of magazines at a time

worth trying to use printed out ones though
they can only say no in which case pinch a few mags
for next time, same goes for all shops

To be fair, I would guess ScarletRaven was referring to my coupon that did scan (the second pizza coupon I tried).

Yes but the second time you tried to use the voucher you had already gained a reputation for trying to pass dodgy ones the first time. That casts doubt on your second one. :D

Seriously tho' why try to scan a coupon you don't accept? Or was it that the assistant scanned it, not knowing it would not be accepted, and the till said they were not accepting them?
