there is a way to find the number. It will be in the Registry file. Saves having to reformat and rebuild laptop/PC.

No it won't. Windows (and many free programs) back up the registry at regular intervals, so if you have a problem you can just restore a version of your registry that was saved before the problem occurred.

So all you would have to do, to print more coupons, would be to restore your system to a point before you installed the coupon printing software, install the coupon printing software, print the max no of coupons, uninstall the software, restore your system to the point before it was originaly installed and repeat. You could print as many coupons as you like!

I doubt they would go to the trouble of having the unique ID to stop you printing more coupons than you are allowed to, then put the key in a place where a 7 year old could delete it.

Even if they did put it in the registry you would never find it. It would be under a key that is just a random series of numbers and/or letters that would not give any indication of what it is. And the actual data in the key would not be your ID number, it would be a number that the software on the internet takes and performs a number of mathmatical calculations on, and the result would be your unique ID.

Having said that, I would find it extremely funny if it was stored in the registry.

However, my guess is it is not stored on your computer at all. It probably works the same way windows generates your unique id.

    Hi all,

Am hoping one of you may be able to help please? My coupon printer has stopped working :( It keeps asking me to install it but it's already installed. I've tried the solutions posted in the main thread ( checking the plugins are enabled and uninstalling and reinstalling) and I'm still being prompted to install it :( Does anyone have any suggestions? Many thanks in advance

    Lidl in newspaper thread

Speaking of Lidl, did anyone else have problems getting their free advent calendar this weekend? I handed over the coupon and it scanned at 1p - cue me holding up massive queues of people behind me just to get a poxy advent calendar!

Supervisor couldn't get it to work either, and I was feeling so bad by that point was about to leave it, until he told me to just take it free and they'd sort it later! I just knew something would go wrong with that one!

Also, said on the other thread, looks like the WW coupon is scanning as OOD in Mr S now - I got lucky with a kind supervisor who let me have it anyway, but think that's the last time I'll try and get away with that. Never mind, was nice while it lasted :rotfl:

Did manage to get my lovetub no problems though - that will make a nice treat in front of peep show tonight :D
  • Hubby took our Coupon to Lidls and had no problem with it , it is only 44p so those who do miss out dont be too worried.

    Hi again everyone.

I have been lax about redeeming my points coupons and vouchers at Tesco. Am wondering if you lose the money entirely if you do not redeem by the expiry date, or if they will eventually offer you again any unclaimed discounts?

Just to update you about this. I went into my Tesco online account and I found that all my vouchers have been saved and I have not lost my entitlement, although I did not redeem them by the closing date, so well done to Tesco on this occasion.
  • does anyone have the link for Baxters soup as I cant find it. thanks in advance.
  • you won't find a link posted as company that issued the coupon pulled the link from there site when they realised it was being used more widely than they'd planned
