I thought they now had a policy where they didn't take any printed internet coupons (other than coupon net).

Its just some over zealous members of staff that say this, if it happens leave your shopping and try another store.


Contact head office for their current policy but it appears each store may put their own skewed position on coupon policy at any time.

i do 8 to a page but could get it smaller and still work because barcode is so big.

BAD NEWS i'm afraid

i was trouted on saturday in asda trying to use a coupon so decided to follow it up

rang store involved and they insisted that asdas new policy was to except no printable/internet coupons

not happy so rang HO number 08009520101

spoke to lovely chap who thought policy hadn't changed and rang store for me whilst i was still on phone

store customer service manager insisted no coupons and says its a national policy.

back to me i say seems strange not to inform him & other phone staff as if i hadn't asked him to phone through he would have just misinformed me
so off he goes to speak to a more senior staff member & duty manager.

HERES THE BAD NEWS
they are adament/100% sure this is asdas new nationwide coupon policy
NO printable/internet coupons what so ever will be excepted
(this is due to the high number of fraudulant coupons they have been getting through i.e ones sold on ebay)

their suggestion is to contact companies instead and get them to post coupons out to you


lets just hope other stores don't follow suit

Oh dear, let's hope they all don't follow, but I bet they do. They really should look at the photocopies some are selling on ebay.

Well it's their loss. I won't be shopping at Asda if that's the case, I appreciate that people don't have a choice of supermarkets though.

Yet again the minority (eBay fakers) ruin it for the majority.

I used Special K and weight watchers meal coupons today in Asda with no trouble. x

I used a McCain coupon in ASDA today and it wouldn't scan, but the operator put it through manually.

I have just read about asda trying to say they wont accept ANY internet printed coupons but surely they can't seen as their on APG coupon is printed from the internet.
Will be interesting to see how that works out, do we think they will start doing as sainsburys do and give a coupon there and then at checkout
