I went couponing for the first time!
The only thing was, my local Tesco didn't have the Ariel Gel on half price for the large one, so I ended up just getting a small one which is ok. Had hoped I'd get this deal in store: Ariel Gel reduced from £8.17 to £4.08 with £1 off. Nevermind! Did anyone else manage to get it in store?!
Also my Tesco don't do DTD - so I just presumed it had stopped - is this still going as I bought some bits a couple of weeks ago and they were priced wrong and I only got the difference?
Thanks0 -
Sorry if this has already been mentioned but OH went to Morrisons last Tuesday armed with heinz 5 beans, quaker safe coupon and kleenex vouchers from the outers of the huggies packs, went to do her shopping and got to checkout and was told they no longer accept coupons. After much discussion with duty manager etc he agreed to take the kleenex vouchers as they were cardboard but refused the others but did say he could phone through and check. Unfortunately I was waiting in car to go to work so no time really.
emailed HO and no response after 3 days so HO rung them. After many phone calls with store and HO they have been told not to accept coupons that are only one sided, as they have had a lot of copies. Store manager said its Morrisons policy, HO said safe coupons are fine.
Anyway in the end the store have agreed to take safe coupons so long as all the identifying b/c's differ but wouldn't take anything like the beans coupon from pdf's.
apparently this is nationwide, although I'm sure there are a lot out there who have spent theirs succesfully in morries.....
Just thought I'd let you know

I've used beans coupons in the last couple of days in Morrisons, the Supervisor was called over to check they were ok to take and she took them away to the office to check in there and came back and said they were fine, so they let me use them, It's Asda I had bother with recently, they would only let me use one beans coupon.0

Sorry edited too much. All Tescos do DTD, even express stores.0 -
I was in Sainsburys yesterday as I had one of their till spits for £3 off a £20 shop. As I was paying, she scanned it and handed it back to me. Can I use this again, will it work or can they tell it's already been used - anyone know?0

Please can I ask whereabout will I find the Bear Yo-yo thingies we have a free voucher for? I checked both the babyfood and childrens sweets ailse in Asda but no joy.
(Also could not find the red square cans either but I did find them in Tesco!)“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
went to tesco fri and 'bought' 20 cans reloaded, gave them 20 free can mocs, and received both the £1.85 off for each can AND the till automatically took another £7 off as they have a promotion running at the moment which is 4 for £6.
Also at same shop stacked my coupons on lenor and were accepted by mgr no problem. Ie Lenor was £1.50, used £1 moc lenor from supersavvy AND £1 off lenor from the little car shaped booklets which were free in the tesco mag months ago. Had 4 of each of these coupons so earned 50p back on each of the 4 Lenors.
Also used coupons for Crabbies x 8, Heinz Five beans x 7, all others were supersavvy & facebook coupons.
in total shop of £178 became £94 after mocs & tesco deals.
Went to Asda Saturday and got 24 red square reloaded, used colgate coupons on 360 toothbrushes reduce to £1 so paid 25p each x 10, rest was apgs
so total shop £89 down to £43
Red Square facebook have annouced that from Friday last Ada will not accept their coupon??? wonder why? Asda are selling at £1 so its not as if it comes up on an APG.
here is an interesting article

asda said they wont accept vouchers because it encourages drinking0

thats quite amusing isnt it... if they are so worried about encouraging drinking they shouldn't have any offers on alcohol at all. Also if this is the true reason why are they accepting the john crabbies coupon still, supermarket decisions are so strange arent they?
My hubby is stockpiling the ginger beer as he loves it... he has one or two a week, i personally dont drink but i tried this product the other day. I only had a sip but it tasted like a strong soft drink... but very nice.
i sold the cans of reloaded i managed to get, as hubby didnt like them due to the caffiene and ginseng and my son is only 20 so not something we would encourage, so i will put the money i made towards my couponing.
the heinz five beanz have been a reelation though, i now have 40 tins and ive had them with toast.. v nice, and also made chilli bean stew and also mixed them into a normal meat chilli so far.... has anyone else got any good ideas for them?
I also got my asda store to give me a box of 100 in one go and gave them straight to a homeless charity. Obviously he checked the moc first etc. The mgr at our store loves couponers as he says it gets customers in shopping and trying new products but he prefers it if you just let him know if you want more than 15 of a product so he can ensure the stock is on hand, and because the stock ordering is done automatically, it means he can flag it that a run on a product isnt because its suddenly going to be a great seller, its because we have a moc so he knows that if he flags it, he wont be left with the product unsaleable when the moc ends.0 -
