I attempted to use 1 palmolive coupon 1 oddities coupon and one huggies coupon (i was sent this from a friend who complained to them) in Sainsburys and they refused the palmolive to start with them a supervisor decided I wasn't allowed any of my shopping (over £30 worth) because
"obviously you aren't happy with paying the stated prices and are trying to use these pieces of paper"
I am so angry she told me she was voiding off the whole lot and if I wanted to buy the non coupon items I would have to queue up like the other customers who were paying properly

I feel a complaint to the head office coming as I was treated like a piece of dirt on her shoe, I have never experienced such bad customer service in my life, I left with a bright red face and a disappointed toddler who wanted her apples that were in the shopping

That's awful! I'm angry for you

Sinw it was Sainsburys not Tescos. You must be too outraged to think straight!
  • thanks everyone I am still so angry, I was telling my friend and she told me to call the store and demand to speak to G or R who are the store managers and it was their staff so they should take notice so I called and they were in a meeting and will call back before 9pm (we will see if that happens) but I am also going to email their head office as well because the way I was treated was disgusting if it had been a simple sorry we can't take these this one that that would of been fine but she made be feel like a criminal

Yes you need to take this sort of problem above store level otherwise it wont be taken seriously

It's trying to create a folder and windows won't let it.

    I have the same problem.

Have you managed to install at all, if so what did you do. Thanks for your help

Please do complain and very loudly too, moos mummy. A regular over on the No Buying Toiletries thread had a similar issue in T&sco's and got decent compensation, but that's hardly the point. They need to put some staff training in, fast.

I really hope you have an option not to use that store again and that you can make it clear that they have lost your custom.

i've always been a goody2shoes with my coupons and find it fun, like a game. these lot, its fraud and theyre ruining it for the rest of us.

moosmummy what a horrible experience for you when you were only using three coupons perfectly valid! Ss are the worst for accepting them I find. In future a trip to CS on the way out often gets the prob solved there and then but worth emailing central CS too. Nobody deserves to be embarrassed in public like that whilst acting within the law.

I print my coupons off on paper that has already been used on one side and have had some right looks over the last year. However, I just tell myself these SAs can't be getting paid more than 7 an hour so god knows where they get their money snobbery from. Maybe rich husbands! god forbid they ever are poorer as they wont know how to use coupons, and they might lose their jobs then also lose precious discounts! rant over !
