TIA and apologies if there is another thread where i should be posting.dasophster wrote: »I know the programme you mean and some of the coupons she had handfuls of were strictly 1 or 2 per customer so not sure how she got so many copies, I would imagine printing them out under different fb accounts and off different computers; doing this is a bit 'iffy' and while a lot of people get away with it others have had their facebook accounts deleted or even been banned from using coupons issued by certain printable coupon companies, not worth it IMHO. Also in the programme she was using Sainsbury's vouchers/coupons in Tesco this is no longer allowed. You would often find that coupons for Sainsbury's had a higher value than the same coupon if you opted to print it for Tesco but in Tesco stuff would be reduced more.
She was actually on Mission Control last week; somebody had recognised her name and said she'd seen her on that programme, and apparently it was all set up as she confessed that the producers asked her to save up as many coupons as possible for filming, as she doesn't normally use 50 coupons at once for her shopping. She did mention, however, that the cashier wasn't really in on it (as you could tell by the annoyed look on her face), but she wouldn't refuse since a camera was filming her every move0 -
purple orchid I printed most of my coupons for S; not T. Moment of madness as we don't have a decent T in this area and so I thought print them for the most local shop forgetting about S ridiculous coupon stopping software. In this area the tills are set up in Mr S to only accept one of each couponstar coupon per transaction; some of the more senior customer service/management staff can override this but they seem to never be around when I go in. I check back MC everyday but it still isn't giving me the option to print the rest of the coupons for Mr T . Except for Iams and I don't even have a pet! I did print about 25 of them for Mr T towards the end of getting my stickers, most of which I used, now I'm bored LOL. I bundled my Mr S coupons into batches and am gonna see this week if any better offers come on the other stuff there are coupons for, like flash and actual laundry detergents. I'm going to go and do two transactions at Mr S today and get one of the reduced lenors (will be £1 with coupon), one of the cheapest fairy liquids (will be 25p with coupon), one of the cheapest oral B toothpaste (should be 29p with coupon each) and an Aunt Bessie's something or another in each transaction as those coupons are only 1 per transaction also. Hopefully the nice SA will be working and she will understand

Yeah I thought so, these documentaries do tend to be greatly exaggerated, even the US show 'extreme couponing' is mostly fake. xx0 -

When the results finally came in I got over £9 JTD voucher from a receipt I only entered yesterday, dated 17th February - wish I'd done this during the week as it would have made an excellent addtion to this mornings shop. The offending items were sensations, Aero orange, Pringles and Malibu
Originally I went in to do 2 shops at my big Tesco this morning.
1st one with Ocean spray £1.35 BOGOF and Comfort £1 to use up the last of my 75p MOCs for Comfort and my 50p ocean Spray print offs.
2nd one would have been the JTD shop £1.99 Lenor, £1 Fairy, free chocolate bubbles bar, free chcolate mini bars plus newspapers and other Tesco own brand stuff to make the difference up, maybe the Always. I also noted down 2 wines with a good price difference to get if I got stuck getting my shop to go to the £40 mark.
First problem was there was no Lenor and 2nd it was down to £1 so I took the one bottle that was left and then combined both shops. Final total came to just over £40, all SSM mission control MOCS, 75p Comfort MOCs, free chcocolate bars, 50p Ocean Sprays MOCs and the £5 conditional spend taken with no issue and the final bill was £11 odd so a £9 odd JTD would have been ace.
So now I have to get a Mail on Sunday to get another £5 conditional spend voucher for next week. I still have my lenor MOCs to use up and also Imas £1 sssm MOCs and more Ocean Sprays and 75p Comfort MOCs if my OH will print some.
(plus I might still get the wine to make the shop up to £40 if the lenor goes back to £1.99).
Otherwise a good morning!“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -

Had successful Mr S trip the nice SA was on and the fairy liquid coupon wouldn't scan so one of the supervisors came over and showed her how to enter it manually so she knows that for future reference (though even the supervisor said only 1 of each couponstar coupon per transaction is something she can't override). Got 2 lenors, 2 fairys, 2 oral b 1-2-3 toothpaste, aunt Bessie's frozen Yorkshire puddings and Aunt Bessie's veg gravy granules for £4.03 in total should have been £11.03. People behind me went off to another till in a huff though even though they were buying loads of reduced stuff which for all they knew could have problems scanning too. I did warn the nice SA I have several more bundles of these at home

Oh and there was another snooty SA with the supervisor who kept saying stuff like 'they won't scan because it's only one per person' and other sniping remarks I pointed out to her the Aunt Bessie's one is one per transaction not per person and the others said one per item. Lastly please check the lenor fragrances before buying because one of the ones I bought smells like children's pain relieving medicine! The fragrance is meant to be pearl and something xx0
