They loose stuff all the time, which is why most of this forum know to always send anything to the DVLA by recorded/signed for post
no, they got it.Me transmitte sursum, caledoni0 -
Drive carefully and don't have an accident. Sods law guarantees that if you do, you'll then find out the reason you didn't get your licence back is because they didn't renew it which then means you're uninsured and whilst the insurers would pay out the third party, they'd then sue you for the money they paid out.
I'm guessing you're a half empty person!Me transmitte sursum, caledoni0 -
Anyway, peeps, going to ring tomorrow...............If they actually decide to answer the phone, then I'll let you know!Me transmitte sursum, caledoni0

my dad has to have a medical every year as he's a 70 odd year old diabetic that still wants to drive HGVs and the like. They haven't took his licence off him yet, but they can take upto 6 months to make a decision each year, but he always keeps his licence. They are incredibly slow, but do phone to ask as they should be getting towards what they are deciding:T:T  :beer::beer: to the lil one

When I had to notify the DVLA about a medical condition, it took them 6 months to decide if I could drive and I still had my licence. Had to chase them loads for a decision, during which time they said I shouldn't drive. Luckily for me I didn't feel up to driving anyway, but did by the time they said everything was fine and I could keep my licence.

Rediculous comment on the information given by OP.
How? They have a notifiable condition which is a degenerative disease which means it gets worse. The DVLA require the holder to have periodical medicals to monitor the deterioration. At some point DVLA will decide it is bad enough that the person is no longer medically fit to hold a licence. This point might have been reached. The OP has sent off the licence and the medical and not got their licence back even though DVLA have acknowledged receipt. Just what else do you want me to say?
I have a HGV licence. If I fail the periodical medical for that, I lose the entitlement.0
