Theres 2 websites that more or less mirror each other, www.forcesdiscounts-mod.co.uk and www.rewardsforforces.co.uk. They are both run by the same company and the forcesdiscounts-mod.co.uk is official.0

....police man and she told me he gets discounts in almost every shop and restaurant he uses.
I thought that was called protection money? :rotfl:This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

I'm not being critical - if there were discounts I'd take them. I'm just curious to know why - its not as if the jobs are badly paid compared to those on NMW.
ARMED Forces? Means that they have a hazardous job! One I did for 12 years, some of us got shot at, blown up, injured on exercises, all of which is still happening. Policemen are higher paid than the PBI in the deserts of Afghanistan.
Give me a break.I think this job really needs
a much bigger hammer.

Soldiers are not beggers, ive bin in the army for 7 years and i have never heard any of my friends trying there luck to get money off but when its offered its a small bonus and nice to be apreciated. i suppose most small buisnesses could decide on the spot really, large companies might not have a policy were squaddies get discount but a small shop or something similar but anybody could.0

Further to my British Airways non existant military discount. I managed to get a reply from them via twitter. They said:Sorry - we do not offer this any more. Thank you for your comments. I then pointed out they offer it to US military, their reply:Sorry we are unable to offer this, ***** and to disappoint you.
So BRITISH Airways refuse to support our military, thanks a lot. Virgin do as do many more however, they are not unique to the military but I suppose better than nothing. BA should be ashamed.0
