If a discount is available, would you be a fool not to use it.?
As I said above, yes I would. Was more interested in the expectation. But also didn't want to aggravate an argument or anything.0 -
I know Burton wouldn't give a military or NHS discount when I last went in there with my husband.0

All of the emergency services are recognised along with the Armed Forces by certain companies and one way of showing the appreciation of what we do is by giving us a discount.
The benefit is we tell our mates and they will buy stuff there as well increasing turnover and profit etc etc.
We get recognistion for what we do for the public at large and they get customers0 -

All our local Nandos will give 20% discount. They didn't used to but would give oh a bowl of nuts or olives. Now they'll give the same discount as NHS staff get.0

A friend of mine asked me what kind of discounts my partner gets, i told her nothing worth bothering with! hardly any of the main companys give any she was stunned! her partner is a police man and she told me he gets discounts in almost every shop and restaurant he uses.
to be fair, my partner is too proud to ask for discount, i think i managed to get him to use it in burton once (as thats about the only well known shop i know who offers it)0 -
