About a year ago there was a very popular thread on the ebay forums started by someone who swore their cat had bid on items.

It ran for a long time but sadly it's gone forever now :(
    My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j

Oh dear god people. Why can't some of you just read a problem someone has and answer it, not go into whether its true or not??
Who cares? The op wanted help retracting bids, whether she or her toddler placed them is irrelevant.

The original poster has had help in retracting bids so her question has been answered but why bother fabricating the details of the false bids? Just makes her seem silly. Like many others I can't believe a two year old managed to place three fake bids.

Just sounds like attention seeking to me.

seem to remember seeing this on tv a few months ago, some two year bid a ridiculous amount on a pink car as a present for her mum (bless)

seems theres some that are cleverer than we give them credit for! ;)

That was nothing more than an advert to gain more exposure for an overpirced car. The slightest bit of digging showed it up as a mere advertising ploy and several complaints were made to the BBC on the basis that they had been fooled. I had a written response from the BBC to say that whilst they check out stories carefully, sometimes when a news story is released time restraints mean that they must take some of it as fact without checking, and whilst they may well have the occasional problem with the accuracy of a story they have a very high reputation for their research etc etc...

My views on 'my child, my dog my dead aunt bid' are well known and I will not add them further here.
