Agree- not sure what she has to gain by posting it here though
  • I'm sorry have I missed something?. I needed help as I have never had to retract a bid before, I left myself logged into ebay (its my homepage), I am assuming (as we were the only 2 in the house) that my toddler was playing with the mouse and clicking and pressing the keys (as she can on cbeebies)and bid on items ,when I checked my emails it said I had bid on 3 items from the same seller different max amounts to the total of 5k. thanks to some people on here I managed to retract bids and contact the seller, am now waiting for a response. Why would that sound fishy?. I'm not trying to 'gain' anything!, just need pointing in the right direction! sorry I asked

because your 2 yr old can actually go through the listings, find the bidding box in the listing page, understand that she have to key in numerical digits in the bidding box and even click through a few boxes to get the bid through.

Here's the reason people are suspicious...

To make a bid (multiply this by three in your case)

Your little one would have had to:

    Find an item
    Click to bid
    Enter an amount
    Click to the next screen
    Click 'Confirm bid'
Find the next item... rinse, repeat.

It's a pretty involved process and many would say it was beyond a two-year-old's intelligence.

Dont apologise. You have no need to.

Some people are just naturally suspicious of others.

I'm glad you've managed to retract the bids ok. :)

I appreciate others have pointed out the process of bidding but there have been many threads on here where this has happened so I'm presuming it can, and does happen by accident and random clicking from little fingers.
Sometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold...But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow...
