Dinah i feel you on that one hun, mine keeps going up and down altho i am not medicated yet i am on bedrest (with three kids running round so not really happening)

i start my progesterone on wednesday after an internal, how lovley some woman measuring my cervix not my idea of fun. I know my blood pressure is going to be thru the roof at that point so its only a matter of time until i am on the meds, as long as i can keep baby in there until 16 jan at least i know they will save her if she does come out. altho usually i have had alot more problems by now so i am optimistic.

last night there was nothing on tv so i have finnished two premmie cardigans and am now on booties and hats. i plan on doing seven sets of cardies hats and booties then i will make a start on newborn bits. whatever isnt used (if i go to term by some strange miricle) then i am going to donate them to sids who will in turn donate them to a nicu because my local nicu dont take donations.

i just wanted to ask a daft question. has anyone had a salpinectomy before? do you have any feeling on the side you had it, i know its a verry personal question and understand if you dont want to answer. I had one in 2006 and still cant feel baby when she is on my left side it was worrying me because if i cant feel her move then how would i know she is still there moving arround, but she is on the right side today and moving niceley.

You're making me want to learn to knit things - I can sew just fine but there is nothing as cute as something tiny and handknitted.

We just had dominoes. I am sick loads today. Woke up hungry and that has been the story since dot. Eat and be hungry and hour or 2 later but dont eat much as cant and hten feel sicky. Eat feel sicky. Don't eat feel sick. T''is weird as this sickness wasnt this bad before. It kinda disappeared from week 8-9 and then re-appeared with revengance. Before it was a generalised feeling now it can get very intense and have me running for the bathroom but still never be sick.

If it makes you feel any better I felt AWFUL with sickness and dizzyness from week 6 through to about mid week 8, then a few days off, then start of week 9 I had a week of just random and fairly unannounced sickness which meant I hid at home from work to avoid being sick in meetings, went back to just the nausea and started to get more and more hours and then half days off from it, then by the end of week 13 it had all but gone. It doesn't feel like it will pass but it does.

Where has my bump gone?! I have to assume it was bloat as my tummy is almost flat again.

Considering calling the maternity day assessment unit as instructed by my midwife, but don't really want to bother them. I have a lot of the symptoms she said to watch out for for the bp rising (persistent headache, dizzyness, visual disturbance), plus my home monitor is showing a slight but steady day by day rise and I now seem to be permanently over the 150/100 zone they wanted to keep me below. However I feel like if I call I'll get the usual 'oh only 16 weeks, you're an early one'. Which I know already but I'm only doing what I was told!

Jenjade, i`ve looked at the other thread a few times and noticed it seems really quiet, guess everyone is busy with their babies tho! lol
Lovecrafting, u sound like that car advert, " a VW but not a VW" ( at least i think its a VW haha!) I hope ur tv is ok kids channels at full blast, we have the Mr Tumble cd especially for when the neighbours r being idiots! They like to blast out Eminem during the summer when the girls r playing in the back garden, some lovely words in his songs :(
Hope things r getting started for u now Kira :)
I have such a sore throat and headache today. DH has decided he is giving up smoking, prob not the best idea right now, but I`m hoping to save some money if nothing else!!
Pinch and a punch for the first of the month mwhahah!!! xxx

lol yeah when you put it that way it does sound like that advert. my tv is fine, the kids bedroom tv may be traumatised for life tho.

dinah call the assesment unit hun, im only a few weeks infront of you (22 weeks tomorow) and they still say that to me, ohh your verry early bla bla bla, but pre eclampsia can come on suddenly and you need to be monitored.

    Hello all, Happy New Year!

We are back, didn't have chance to catch up yet, hope all are keeping well. We came back Friday night, and had a quiet day at home yesterday. OH collected the caring the morning, and I spent most of the day rating on the sofa, as visit back home was not so restful. Well, it was to be expected. Aim still 'enjoying' my headaches, and the nose full of blood in the morning (sorry, TMI).

Had a bit of a scary moment this morning - had pain in my lower tummy, on right side since yesterday early afternoon, which seems to be appearing when I need to move (for example go to the loo, so need to get up from the sofa, or turn in bed, get in or out of bed). It was so strong this morning when I was getting back to bed after yet another trip to the loo, that stayed in bed crying for probably half an hour. Now I am on the sofa, and it is not bad, just a bit of discomfort, I would say, but I can feel something. OH was all prepared to take me to A&E. I was scared to look for babies heartbeat, in case I wouldn't find it, but in the end we did listen, and we think we found both of them.

Anyway, panic over, it still hurts, but not that bad. The worst pain seemed to be after the loo trios, so the empty bladder. It is probably just a ligament stretching, but if it persists, I may have to call the delivery suite (my out of hours emergency number).

On the other hand, I think I feeling the babies move. It is not a sting kicking pain, it is too early for that, but more off pressure feeling in the same places at various times during the day. OH doesn't believe me, he thinks it is too early, but I don't care really.

    Happy New Year everyone!

I'm 37 weeks today! :j I still want Pip to stay in there for another couple of weeks though, am in no hurry for anything to happen just yet...

Dinah - I would give them a call hun. Better to get checked out than worry you're bothering them or wasting their time. That's what they're there for! As lovecrafting says, these things need to be monitored.

I'm chilling on the sofa with a cat on my lap while OH plays Call of Duty *again*... Can't complain though as he did take me out for a cooked breakfast this morning :D Plus there's nothing worth watching on tv. Think I might go have a snooze at some point this afternoon. Then, if we can find one open, we're going to have a Chinese takeaway for dinner...

Your pie sounds tasty, lovecrafting! I need to start some batch cooking this week I think...

Hope everyone has a good day and someone has a NYD baby! :D

Hi natwesty, welcome! There is an EDD list floating around somewhere, you can add yourself or let us know your due date (and if your bump is pink, blue or yellow) and someone can add you. If you want to be added, that is, it's not compulsory! :D

I hope you have had a good pregnancy so far, is it your first baby?

Called the maternity day assessment unit, as predicted they didn't rightly know what to say or do with me, except tell me to rest and call my doctor to try to get more tablets which I explained he wouldn't do without the hospital consultants say so... so the advice is rest, see the midwife on Tuesday, try to get some more tablets asap and call back if I get worse although they don't know what they'll do then either!
