I agree Gilly, it's a great song but doesn't really suit either Marcus or Little Mix... disappointing.

Seafarers's Wife- Good luck tomorrow. I'll be thinking of you and hoping all goes smoothly. Re your question on having the drip or waiting, one of the reasons they want to do it straight off, is so that they can get the fluids/glucose in you asap if it is needed. You could try asking about a heparin lock instead as a compromise, which is where they put the actual drip thing into your hand, with a drop of heparin to stop it clotting, but dont connect it up to anything. That way, if there is a sudden need to administere something to you, they can connect up quickly, but you get the freedom until then.

Re:Placenta, due to my BMI, i am apparently at a somewhat greater risk of bleeding and clotting, so they want to give me injections to prevent clotting for 7-30 days post birth. The placenta delivery injection is apparently also recommened particularly for me to speed up the contractions of my uterus so i'll go with that. Happy to have a few minutes of skin to skin whilst connected, befoer the clip is put on. I dont want to cut the cord myself, and DH isnt keen, so we'll let them do that

4nnabella- Def get the 75cm ball with your height. Plus women tend to have proportionally longer legs, so usually need a bigger ball than the bloke of the same height.

Christmas presents all wrapped thought I was done, but want to get a few more little bits for OH as they don't look like much under the tree!

So will order them online tomorrow, will not be braving the shops again!

Haven't really read back the past couple of pages yet, so luck to anyone else who needs it.....

At this stage, I'm bored. Can easily pass on that for me at least, none of the old wives tales work. Pineapple core, DTD, hot curries, long walks- nada.
Was out on Sat with DH and MIL- walked round markets for two hours. All that did was give me a really sore back for a few hours!
I keep getting texts and messages telling me it would be best if baby came soon- to still have a separate birthday and Christmas. They're jokey, but I can't exactly hurry the process! Hitch is showing no signs of budging at all. The only thing I have at all are several episodes of violent movement a day, which are a little sore and very uncomfortable.
I'm more or less resigned that I will be induced next Monday, though there's still time for it to happen naturally. It's just I have nothing- no signs at all. I'm tired, a little sore (SPD pains have decreased dramatically now), and very breathless and uncomfortable, but barring that, there is nothing to indicate a baby will decide to arrive anytime soon.
IN honesty, I'm not overly bothered! Everyone else seems to be, and I keep getting people commiserating with me and telling me they're sorry Hitch hasn't arrived yet- and I keep wondering why they're sorry! It will happen at some point, and I'm alright, so why worry? The worst I have is terminal boredom- there isn't much to do at this stage, barring the laptop, Sky and tidying the house. DH is very paranoid about me leaving the house at all without him in case anything happens, and it's a pain trying to remember to carry my mobile everywhere with me!

Lirin - so love the picture of Izzy she looks like she is very cozy and relaxed . Hope terminal boredom ends soon although at least the end is in sight with a date for induction xx
